Look what happens when the good guys have gun control and the bad guys don’t.

A filthy gun control government is unworthy of defending or obeying.

This is an interesting misconception that many Americans have regarding Israelis and gun ownership.

I know this because I was also under the same misconception that Israelis were allowed greater latitude than Americans when it comes to keeping and bearing arms.

I was dismayed and confused to find out that this isn’t the case. I fell for the descriptions of Israelis who took the bus to work with an Uzi slung over the shoulder.

But it appears to have been propaganda.

My next thought was, propaganda by whom? Israel? Probably, to give the impression over the years that they were armed and dangerous, when they weren’t.

I got my LTC after 9/11, and in my state the local Chief of Police has the discretion to grant or not grant the request, so you have to write a statement on why you wish to have an LTC. (I know-this is an infringement)

The reason I gave was terrorism. Of course, I am one of those who believes we should be able to own any type of firearm, and carry it openly and freely everywhere, but I gave the reason of terrorism instead.

Excellent article. Since October 7, my eyes have really been opened as to the gun ownership situation in Israel. Like most everyone else, I did think that Israelis carried guns everywhere they went. It would only make sense that they did.

The Israeli government should re-think that policy.

Both governments (Israeli and Hamas) want disarmed Israeli citizens. So ho is the good guy and who is the bad guy?

For that matter, there isn’t a government in the world that wouldn’t disarm it’s citizens if they could.

Exactly! Had the people who were attacked been allowed to carry, they could have at least put up a fight, and once they saw people parachuting into the festivities, and recognized what7 they were doing, they could have shot them while they hung in the air and likely saved many lives.

The fact that themcrowd was unarmed led to a mass slaughter of innocents who had no,way to defend themselves and others. Their only hope was that one of the gunmen got shot by another gunman, and they were able to retrieve the gun and use it themselves agaisnt the bad guys- but, had they done so, knowing israel’s unr3al gun policies, I wouldn’t put it past israel to then charge the good guy with “unlawful use of a gun” after all was said and done.
