Military woos ex-servicemembers fired over COVID vax mandate, offering return, correcting records

Is this a joke? They want members to come back without guarantees against further mandates, among other showstopper issues? It’s a non-starter.

It’s like an abused wife being called back from the women’s shelter she went to just after being discharged from the hospital by her abusive husband because he says he needs her to do the laundry.

The government would be better off determining why they aren’t meeting recruitment goals. It starts with the woke policies, but there are other societal issues like an anti-American education system that ridicules patriotism and teaches woke history.

You and I both know this is true, but a leftist liberal NEVER equates reality with their policies. Indeed, they double down, triple down on their policies and then cannot figure out why it doesn't work. Their answer for everything is 'more leftism will fix that.' They cannot think for themselves. That is why Left wing governments always fail eventually because those in government know only what is in their inflexible ideology. That which does not flex will soon break under the stress.................

"Correcting Records", only for the type of discharge, is a long way off from restoring the value of time lost for a separated military member.

Military command, merit and paygrade systems rely heavily on time in grade (TIG) and time in service (TIS). For example enlisted military members get pay increases based on milestones of TIS and seniority/leadership position is determined by TIG.

Unless this disparity is also addressed, there would be little incentive to return and find that your juniors at the time of your discharge are now your bosses simply because they got the shot and you refused it.

When TRUMP is President, he can order Time in Grade replacement, rescind Genral Discharge to Honorable, expunge any critical notes in Service Record, and give Bonus for returning. Otherwise, Stick it up your Ass!

Correction of records is a joke in this instance. It will always be obvious to review boards as to what the gap in service and “correction” of a record is about. Such records may as well have a red flag attached to them, and the serviceman will always be penalized.
