All of the marxist activities have created a tribalized society with groups fighting for the greater share of the handouts, because they deserve it in their own minds. This creates the turmoil that the marxists want. We are all being played.
Fairness is replaced by equity
The unequals now demand unobtainable equity from their betters
the left is only interested in diversity when its skin color related, sex or gender based.
The left has no interest in diversity of political beliefs!
The country has been nearly evenly divided liberal to conservative for decades and yet why isn’t the left suing colleges and others for underrepresenting conservatives among faculty?
Equality or Equity. Choose one. They are mutually exclusive.

So, a social scientist weighs in, and only then can the concept of fairness in society be deemed an imperative?
How hard was this to figure out?
FWIW, historically speaking, fairness between and among different “types” or categories of people is typically not a prominent feature in societies/polities. Once a group achieves dominance, bank on it—they’ll put a death grip on it, and everyone else can go scratch.

Forced Redistribution
“fair” has become a synonym for “equal”, especially equal outcomes, what they call “equity”. It’s the old Marxism with some new wrapping paper.
A society that adopts and enforces that definition of fairness is doomed to fail.
The much better definition of “fair”, is that your rewards should be proportional to your honest contribution. That’s been the definition that made the US great.
