FBI agents hone in on Mayor Eric Adams' text messages over fast-tracking 36-story Turkish diplomatic HQ in NYC after seizing his cellphones and iPad following raid on his chief fundraiser's home

Investigators looking into potential campaign finance violations by New York's mayor have been focusing on a series of text messages discussing a new Turkish consulate in the city, according to a report.

Eric Adams had his cellphones and iPad seized on November 6.

On November 2, the Brooklyn home of one of his top fundraisers had been raided by the FBI - a raid timed to take place while Adams was in Washington DC. Agents took from the home cellphones, laptops, and folders of documents.

The inquiry is into whether Adams benefitted from Turkish connections, and whether kickbacks were given to his campaign. Neither Adams nor his fundraiser, Brianna Suggs, have been accused of any wrongdoing and Adams insists he and his campaign are scrupulous in their actions.

On Saturday, The New York Post reported that agents are particularly interested in a conversation Adams had in September 2021 - before he was mayor - about work on the Turkish consulate in Manhattan.

Adams was Brooklyn borough president at the time, and has spoken about his ties to the Turkish community in his borough - ties his predecessor made, and which Adams built on.

Reyhan Ozgur, the Turkish consul, told Adams in a text that the new consulate had received the permits needed from the Buildings Department to open, but did not have the Fire Department certificate.

It still had to secure a 'temporary certificate of occupancy' from the Fire Department, Ozgur said, and asked Adams if he knew Daniel Nigro, the fire chief, and could help.

Adams contacted Nigro and asked him to look into the matter - but did not order him to do anything.

Nigro then texted Adams and said the approval was being prepared, and would be ready within days.

We know the fbi has turned into the kgb. Adams has been criticizing the big guy, so he must be taken out. Even if the allegations are legit and he's dirty (hardly a stretch) contrast the lighting fast investigation with the glacial pace of the alleged hunter biden “investigation”

Yep. We live in an entirely different country now. Weaponization of the DOJ and of the 'intelligence' agencies is now business as usual. Land of the free? Not anymore.

When arrogant Schumer made the comment “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you”, he should have been drug in front of Congress and made to testify under oath what he was referring to and whether he agreed that the intelligence agencies should have this kind of rogue capacity.

Aaaaaand their conclusion at the end of the big investigation will be “sure, he roke the law- there is no denying that fact...BUT he “didn’t intend to do it”... case closed- no charges”

He should have just kept on taking all those illegals regardless if it was destroying NYC.

Don’t challenge the deep state.

This is what Adams gets for complaining loudly about the Establishment’s immigration policy. The signal being sent here is that anyone who gets out of line will be punished.

Why on earth does Erdogan NEED a 36 story “diplomatic” “consulate” in New York city??

When will U.S. intelligence community admit Turkey is spying on the U.S. both overseas as well as in the U.S. and funneling money covertly to Muslim Brotherhood supported groups in the U.S.

Turkey is going to be our biggest problem.

Russia isn’t a threat, because outside of Russia, they don’t have significant friends.

Turkey, on the other hand, can get the entire Muslim world on their side.

Anyone else find it interesting that Eric Adams and his actions were a-ok until he started attacking Biden over immigration and the Biden administration not helping NYC after all the illegals were being shipped to his city by southern governors? Now, since he has attacked Biden, what was ok with the FBI is now cause for the corrupt Wray and corrupt FBI to go after him.

From the article, in a photograph caption: “The Brooklyn home of Adam’s top fundraiser and longtime confidante Brianna Suggs, 25, was raided by the FBI as part of an investigation into an alleged kickback scheme.”

My question: How do you become a longtime adviser and confidante at the tender age of 25?

I thought Dems stabbed each other in the back AFTER elections, not during the lead-up.

I think Dem’s judgement was impaired after they saw Biden’s
numbers sinking in quicksand under Trump’s soaring numbers.

In front of who? That same Congress who is already well aware that the intelligence agencies have six ways from Sunday of getting back at them if they ask the wrong questions? :)

“Turkey, on the other hand, can get the entire Muslim world on their side.”

No Turkey cannot. Both the richest Sunni Muslim state, Saudi Arabia, and the largest Sunni Muslim state, Egypt, do not trust Turkey nor the Muslim Brotherhood Erdogan is such good friends with.

But regardless of that, Turkey in NATO depreciates the possibilities of NATO “European” defenses. What of NATO that is now in Turkey ought to be moved to Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.

Yes, I know. That's part of the problem. The whole government now exists independent of the will of the citizenry or the intent of the Constitution. Still, Trump had both legislative branches for awhile, and that's when this should have been addressed - but the swamp was in stealth mode at that point - and the uni-party had no interest in rocking the boat.

Wow! Adams speaks out against the southern border and Biden's immigration policy, so Biden sics the FBI on him.

Can anyone remember an incident where President Trump used his office to go after a political opponent like this?

Obama sicced the IRS on the Tea Party.

The Clinton's had "private" security to clean up their messes.

LBJ sicced Hoover and the FBI on all of his enemies.

But the LAAP-dog media insists that it is President Trump who is the dictator?

Agree. I was just using a little sarcasm. If you don’t play by the rules of the deep-state, they will take you down by any means necessary.
