From post #148.
“They are Sabre tomatoes. Have grown them for years. Some only have 4 seeds. Hardly any liquid and great flavor. A good friend swears by Opalka. We had 4 San Marzano bushes this year just for the heck of it but the yield was just not there. Sabres are a Ukranian variety. And they consistently last longer into the fall than any other. So great for Michigan. Two weeks after all other varieties are dead these bushes were still green and growing.”
That’s the one I couldn’t remember. If it’s that good in MI it should do great for me in WI. And Pollard should be swimming in them down south. :)
Mom: Is there a special place to get seed?
Or could it be Sabelka??
Interesting conversation here on amishland seeds, “the only source for Ukraine Sabre”. I guess amishland seeds is a female that tends to rename existing varieties and sell them as one of a kind exotics that no one else has.

Second to last comment here as well - https://www.vegarden.com/2007/05/sabre-ukrainian-tomatoes/
Either way, Sabelka, Ukraine Sabre, unobtainium. There is a Sabre tomato I guess but it’s a round pink slicer.
I found mine through ebay I think years ago, I’ll look around.
