Sitting here and cogitating I am struck by a pattern that while being discussed, it is not directly pointed to.

A virus that “starts” in the nose will be transported to the throat and upper chest through mucous; post-=nasal drip or head congestion.
Here the virus can move into the lungs and cause sever respiratory distress, and likely very quickly.
This was a pathology of COVID-19

Fast forward to a new virus...
If it cause severe congestion and an OTC expectorant is taken, the virus can be ejected by blowing the nose and expectoration (not in front of the ladies, please), short-circuiting the pathology.
So, if you want the virus to infect as many as possible, find a reason to remove the OTC availability of the expectorants.
Then, limit their off-label use.
This is what happened with HCQ, IVM and even Zantac.

Sorry to hear about your sister! So many vaxxed friends and acquaintances keep getting sick over and over. Their immune system is shot.

I touched base with my friend who has been battling cancer and she had a nether round of tests and is still cancer free. She is the only one who refused the vax pushed by her oncologist. She has now lost three friends who got the vax. All were in remission prior 😢

My mother kept a bottle of terpin hydrate in the medicine cabinet for years "just in case." Mom considered it to be somethiog of a magic bullet because the family doctor of my childhood and an aunt who worked in a drug store were both fans of the stuff.

Patrick McHenry the NC RINO has gotten several grants for his district recently from Homeland Security according to his website. Guess he was bought to protect Mayorkas. Virginia Foxx is 80 and posted an addled comment of how she supports Mayorkas impeachment but it “must be done by rules”. She is an opinionated person who apparently thinks her way or no way. Sadly very popular in her district.

They just can’t seem to understand what Mayorkas is doing to this nation. Time for them to go.
