In 1969 I was a draft dodger.
I received a draft notice which I totally ignored, did not respond in any way.
The reason was, I had already enlisted and was serving in basic training -- boot camp.
I figured there was zero chance my draft board would track me down to serve notice while I was already serving, and of course, they never did.
My guess is something similar with Denys Davydov.
Ukraine's government cannot be unhappy with the work he does reporting on war results.
In any national draft system, many are granted lawful exemptions, and so claims that Davydov is a "draft dodger" come from no specific knowledge of his actual legal status.
I think such claims simply reflect the anger and frustration of our pro-Russians at the popularity and effectiveness of Davydov's work in defense of Ukraine.
Of course you have no clue, but that doesn't stop you from drawing a line in the sand and defending the position you just made up. More argumentum ad absurdum from what sounds like a dry drunk.
Not everyone who serves their country does so with a weapon in their hand on the front lines, no matter how loudly the big-talking, blowhard Putin worshipers here bray and screech. They are nothing more than do-nothing wannabes - doughy cowards who know nothing of what defending a country means. All they want is for a big strong manly man like Putin to protect them from globohomo or whatever their personal bugaboo is. Maybe they think Vladimir will one day notice their loyalty and reward with belly kisses. Who knows?
Yes, they are angry and frustrated when we point out how morally bankrupt they as they cheer on the aggressor and ridicule those who defend themselves. They know what they are - and aren’t. And will never be.
Thank you for your service. At least there are some of us here who are willing to stand up to a bully.
And, as you say, you didn't respond because you had already been recruited, so in reality you weren't "dodging the draft," were you? So, how is this similar to Davydov's actual draft dodging?
Stop the silly Youkazoidal obfuscations, man!
