The official reason for the FBI raid on Robertson’s home emerged later that day in the form of a federal criminal complaint originally filed under seal and detailing alleged threats Robertson made against Democratic political figures on social media. A few days earlier, in what appeared to be his final Facebook post, Robertson had written: “I HEAR BIDEN IS COMING TO UTAH,” in his customary all-caps, describing the president’s anticipated Aug. 9 visit to Salt Lake City. “DIGGING OUT MY OLD GHILLIE SUIT AND CLEANING THE DUST OFF THE M24 SNIPER RIFLE. WELCOME, BUFFOON-IN-CHIEF!”
“I just can’t believe this required a SWAT team and a dawn raid,” one of Robertson’s friends, an art history professor at a local community college, said on Glenn Beck’s radio show the day after Robertson was killed. “He may be a hothead, he may be a crank, but he’s not going to be that kind of a threat.”

There would not have been a problem if he had threatened to kill President Trump.
20 or 30 years ago to clean cut men in the suits would’ve knocked on his door. Or even possibly, simply found a way to be watching him and seeing him go about his day realizing he was doing nothing of the sort. He would’ve never even known they were there. Today we get a bunch of bombs looking like soldiers with beards, hitting the place like it was a terrorist compound at 6 AM startling him in bed and murdering him. The guy was a old crank who could barely walk, and even a cursory investigation would’ve revealed that he was just a nut spouting off. They murdered him.
That would have been “free speech”—the “heart and soul” of our “precious democracy”.
The extremism in our society are not people like him. It is our zero tolerance extremist government. And the extremism is seen in modern law-enforcement that dresses and acts like soldiers of some sort.
If Robertson had said the same thing about Trump, the FBI would have created reasons to ignore him.
Takeaway: If 30 FBI agents/swat with a warrant come to your house to arrest you, don't point a weapon at them unless you're ready to meet your Maker.

No, they would have arrested Trump for resisting not allowing himself to be a victim.
That is what they now do to people who try to defend themselves.
Never too late to warn folks the FBI went off the rails back in the mid sixties, with the murder of Ed Deegan and the trial of four men accused of the murder. That trial was a show trial to protect paid informants the FBI in Boston didn’t want discovered.
Four men sent to prison for a crime of murder they had nothing to do with, to protect a couple of slime balls the FBI valued highly at the expense of justice.
It’s been pretty much downhill ever since. Maybe it started with J. Edgar, someone knows.
What happened in the instance of Robert Card, of Maine? They HAD him confined, yet the “compassionate” laws of the State of Maine set him free. Apparently only draconian actions by our “compassionate” government at all levels can satisfy all the requirements of “enforcement” that is needed when the fit hits the shan.

Yes, but an old man in a ghilly suit and a rusty old rifle can be pretty formidable. Takes at least 30 fully armed young FBI agents to take him down. 2 old men would have required 50 agents I am sure.

It’s no different than these nitwits who post photos of their home interiors and valuable possessions all over social media, post announcements that they’re going away on vacation, and then come home and are shocked to find that their home has been burglarized and ransacked while they are gone.
