Worth watching. We'll see what happens at noon. But if he gets through I think Johnson will be a good Speaker.
And much better than the insidious, lying snake that McCarthy apparently was.

It was the MIC and the New World Order. McCarthy is just a puppet.

Normally the Speaker is a senior leadership position for someone who has been in Congress a very long time, and has the political clout to impose their will on the caucus and the House as a whole. Johnson has only been in Congress since 2017 and wouldn't be qualified in my book.
However, Johnson is part of the "MAGA class" of freshmen Congressmen who came in with Trump, and that counts for a lot in my book as well. So we'll see how he does as Speaker, and if he can control the herd of cats, or gets trampled in the stampede.

Some see this as a popularity contest. Some think a Speaker “earns” the position through seniority. Like it’s “his turn”.
I always look at it in the context that he’s THIRD IN LINE FOR POTUS. It’s sobering. Gives a whole different perspective.

You’re correct but entrenched leadership has been the problem.
John Boehner set up a cozy little line of succession with the “Young Guns”

McCarthy, McConnell and McDaniel are the demise off the GOP.

It’s been McCarthy all along who has blocked all these candidates for Speaker. It’s McCarthy who tried to plot his return.....the swamp has been exposed. Bye bye McCarthy
still dont understand what they are trying to accomplish with all this non sense...only thing it got them is a political beating. Dems have the WH and the Senate...just makes no sense..

Should Johnson get through this afternoon, it will officially be the end of the John Boehner succession line.

Gaetz just circumcised McCarthy without anesthesia on ‘War Room’ a few minutes ago, and tossed the pelt right in the waste basket with nary an afterthought.

The Dems have been stealing elections, leading to a smaller Republican majority in the House than the election results justified. A rational Republican leader would want to investigate the cheating and prevent it in the 2024 election. Yet, the Old Bulls in the GOP Republican leadership have thwarted any such investigation. One can only conclude that they like losing like this. Hopefully, the new Speaker won't be so gun shy about fixing things. The power of the purse is the way to do it. No money for things, especially the U.S. Postal Service, until we get legislation to stop the massive mail-in ballot fraud.
