Trust me, as a Lions fan...there’s entire videos on YouTube showing how we get screwed, along with calls that are just nuts that go against us - only for a rule change to happen for the next season (e.g. the “Calvin Johnson” rule).

In our last playoff game (years ago), against Dallas, the DB ran straight through our receiver, and ‘FLAG’!!! ...but then the ref’s call out “there is no flag” and just go on with things - besides the fact that Dallas players had RUN ONTO THE FIELD in protest (another flag). It was absurd and they didn’t ‘miss’ it.

The only thing I can say, play as clean as you can and as well as you can to make a bad call irrelevant - you have to beat the refs.

Having grown up in the Detroit Area in the 60s/70s the Lions taught me to be a cowboy fan.

Then the kneelers taught me to stop watching. However, I will admit I caught some of the game between Hurts and Tua (RTR).

Talk to me about bad calls…

RENTON, Wash. — NFL referee Bill Leavy acknowledged he made mistakes in the Seattle Seahawks’ 2006 Super Bowl loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The veteran official began an annual training-camp rules interpretation session with the Seattle media after practice on Friday by bringing up the subject without being asked.

“It was a tough thing for me. I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game, and as an official you never want to do that,” said the veteran of 15 NFL seasons and two Super Bowls.

“It left me with a lot of sleepless nights, and I think about it constantly,” Leavy said of the February 2006 game. “I’ll go to my grave wishing that I’d been better.”

Several calls went against the Seahawks in their 21-10 loss to the Steelers. It was Seattle’s only Super Bowl appearance.
