On February 25, 2023, Indian River County, Florida sheriff's deputies responded to a local big box store in Vero Beach, Florida for a report of a shoplifting in progress. Asset Protection employees had been monitoring three females as they loaded up a shopping cart.
When one of the undercover Walmart team members was made, the three female suspects ditched the cart, but still exited the store with two stolen bags, sunglasses, and deodorant. While identifying the suspect, deputies learned they were habitual shoplifters and placed an ICE hold on all three.

I have shopped in that Wal-mart a number of times and it’s one of the nicer Wal-marts I have been in. We usually go to the Sam’s Club next door.
It helps that, while I am in my 60s, I am one of the younger people that live in Vero Beach. It is said that there are more retired people here than in any place in America. True? Don’t know. But, when we went out to dinner tonight, we certainly were the among the younger folks in the restaurant.
I thought they were Hispanic too but their accents were very Eastern European. Romanian has a lot of words which are similar to the Spanish words so Spanish is easy for them to pick up.
Well ... you’re younger than me ! But you know, I don’t feel old. I think you get that.
Wrong—they are Romanians. Watch the video and you can hear it for yourself.
Ah, Romas.. They fit right in with their stereotype..
Gypsies? If so thieving is a long standing tradition. Flame me, but from what I’ve read this is true.
I believe someone standing there called her ‘motormouth’……she wouldn’t answer their questions, but as a distraction she ran her mouth constantly……
I believe she is a habitual liar as well as a habitual thief
Yep - travelers or in the old term, gypsies. There were gypsies in NC who would go from town to town, offering to paint barns or repair roofs. They would do it per bucket instead of by the job or hours. They would produce so many buckets and it was clear that they would just take the empty buckets from job to job so they could get more money. We had a farm and one of the elderly ladies who had a barn on her land used them and said one of them was like a spider monkey, crawling all over the gambrel roof with no harness or any safety measures. They ripped her off but she was like, “what are you gonna do”, shrugged and paid them.
Also, when I was in Winston-Salem back in the 90’s, there was a group of them who would go door to door in the upscale neighborhoods and ring the doorbell, trying to sell all kinds of things. Meanwhile, one of them would slip around back, enter through the back door and steal whatever they could carry while the homeowner was occupied by the other gypsies up front.
Sound like gypsies. Roma gypsies. I would say something bad but the term “Roma gypsies” is as bad as it gets.
This is how shoplifters should be dealt with: https://twitter.com/CitizenFreePres/status/1714060077286453437?t=WP_dz7F0Il3aEtZS2pt30A&s=19
“Gypsies”
That’s where the word “gyp” came from.
Yup, they're sending us their best! Europe has been trying to deal with them for centuries
It's a lucky thing the Roma can come here, now.... probably bank rolled by the Romanian gov’t
OK, just new they had no spanish acent.
Yes the Roma love to steal and think nothing of it
Gypsies?
In the case of the UK, body disposal is their primary issue. No one is going to go overboard searching for missing criminals, if they suffer an “abrupt metabolic disruption event” while they are terrorizing a household as long as they get them into the ground before they start to stink up the neighborhood no ones the wiser… 🙄
