Florida teacher, Disney employees among 219 arrested in human trafficking operation: authorities

A Polk County, Florida, human trafficking operation earlier this month led to the arrests of 219 people, including people in the country illegally, a high school teacher, and three Disney employees, according to authorities.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd on Thursday announced the results of the operation, saying out of 119 prostitutes who were arrested during the operation that began last week, 21 were possible victims of human trafficking.

Two suspects were charged with human trafficking, and both were in the U.S. illegally.

Freddy Escalona, 30, and Maria Guzman, 36, were charged with human trafficking and deriving proceeds from prostitution.

Escalona, police said, lent money to a victim to fix her vehicle, and after she was unable to pay him back, he allegedly forced her into prostitution.

When Escalona drove the victim to the undercover location, he was taken into custody and told detectives he had "several females that he worked," or who paid him to transport them and keep them safe, Judd said.

Guzman also allegedly trafficked two victims from a hotel in Orlando, setting up their "dates" and profiting from the money they made.

Judd’s office said 83 suspects were arrested for soliciting prostitution; 17 other suspects were arrested, and of those, five either derived proceeds from prostitution or aiding and abetting prostitutes, and eight drove the prostitutes to the undercover location.

Sheriff Grady Judd is outstanding. I love watching his press conferences where he’s not afraid to show the booking photos of these scumbags. I don’t think he’s ever used the term “alleged” when talking about them, either. Balls of steel.

They were operating in the wrong county, that’s all. They should have been in adjacent Hillsborough County, where you never, ever hear about stuff like this, because Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister’s deputies will tell you there is no crime in your neighborhood, that’s why you never see their patrol cars on any of your local streets. He’s a lover not a hater. You’ve got to wonder about voters who keep re-electing somebody like that.

Grady Judd is one of our best... one more reason I'm happy to live in Florida.

I'm surprised no children were being trafficked since 3 Disney employees were involved. Now that Espstein didn't kill himself, Disney has more ‘employees’ per capita arrested for child sex crimes than any other entity with the exception of the Lincoln Project and the DNC.

Yep. Polk county is probably one of the safest counties in the USA. Except the whole human trafficking thing.

Grady Judd is amazing! He loves to criticize Disney because he usually gets Disney employees in the child sex stings. One of them was a guy who entertained kids as Donald Duck. He and Sheriff Clarke should be Trump’s running mate...

Would this be happening in the state if it had a Democrat governor rather than supposed “RINO” DeSantis?

One can take a lesson from what happened with Sheriff Arpaio in Arizona. Once the Dems got a foothold through fraudulent elections Arpaio couldn’t get elected dog catcher. He had the Lib jackals nipping at his backside at every turn. So, no. If DeSantis were to leave Florida, it would probably only take a few election cycles to flip the state Blue. Soros money is endless in getting fraudulent election officials, prosecutors, and judges elected in Red states. That’s where much of this starts. Just look at the Left Coast, Denver, Austin, etc. to see how the cancer spreads.

My governor, the best governor in America, and I thank God for him every day. Too bad he isn't the model for all the other Republican governors. I also am thankful for a conservative legislature that backs him up.
