Legendary rocker Mick Jagger may be swimming in his millions thanks to the Rolling Stones, but he most likely won’t be sharing his wealth with his eight kids.
The 80-year-old musician hinted to the Wall Street Journal in a recent profile that he doesn’t want to sell the band’s post-1971 music inventory.
Jagger teased that the money should go to charity instead of his offspring.
“The children don’t need $500 million to live well. Come on,” he joked to the publication.

I thought I read Trump lost much or all the initial money he was given to start a business, then learned to work his deals and did well?
“... go to school/college forever ...”
I suppose it depends on the school/college. For too many institutions it’s “rots your brain, rots your kidneys, rots your liver - kookaracha!”
I disagree. There are some(few) charities that do not have a large corporate structure.
I would suggest you investigate St Jude’s Hospital where children go for cancer treatments for free.
I also give to a couple local charities here in NH. One is run by two nuns that operate a home for women and their children. The nuns get paid about $18K each/year.
I also give to the local SHARE location. However, I do not give money. I bring them food I buy at the grocery store.
I do agree with you about most of the nationally advertising charities. Especially the Red Cross and United Way.
I notice that a number of the small towns around here have facebook pages that people can giveaway items that formerly went to goodwill or salvation army.
With all the drama and giving to illegals and homeless it seems like folks are looking to rehome items with neighbors and townies. People are done.
I’ve read that P Diddy pays Sting approximately $2,000 a day for his sample of Every Breath You Take. Sting says P Diddy will put his kids thru college.
Another Sting sample by Juice WRLD has sold 10 million streams in the US and Sting says that song will put his grandkids thru college.
The Stones haven’t sold their song catalog. When that happens it will probably be $1.5 to $2 billion.
The $500M he has is concert revenue and album sales to date
Well, the Stones don't own anything before 1972, unfortunately. The after-72 catalog, they own. What does an artist get paid per play? Just as an example, Spotify pays $0.0033 per stream.
