“Abraham Lincoln learned the hard way as well if you ever heard the story. He had a donkey pulling one of the those grinding mills in a circle to grind down grain and every time the donkey passed him Lincoln wacked it to make it go faster and finally the donkey had enough and kicked him in the head knocking him out lol.”
That may explain Lincoln.
They bite?
“We have a Coyote problem here in So Cal.”
There is a coyote problem all over the country, two-legged and four.
I’ve heard they guard livestock against wolves in the U.P. of Michigan.
when I lived on a small horse ranch in my early days we had a donkey named “tuffy” that would bray and bite at anyone who came through the gate and tried to walk through the corral to the main house. Tuffy was scary as hell until you learned how to deal with him. The owners kept a large stick by the gate to grab and walk with, when Tuffy knew you had the stick he would just follow along and bray at you but he wouldn’t try to bite you.
Tuffy wasn’t that stupid but he sure as heck kept strangers off the ranch.
They and burros both bite. They will grab a coyote or even a person by the neck or back and violently lift, shake and throw them down often breaking the neck or back.
That was fun! Yeah for the donkey!
The treatment meted out to the donkey is standard for 3rd world places like Mexico and points further south.
You know what kind of person people are by how they treat animals.
A hoof to the face would have made it perfect.
Much deserved.
Most animals want to serve humans and will do so willingly, if treated well.
Donkeys can be vicious.
First thing I thought of, too. Then I thought - this guy ain’t no Balaam. Hope the donkey gives him a good dose of the Old Testament.
“The treatment meted out to the donkey is standard for 3rd world places like Mexico and points further south.”
I figured this was the case. And all over the third world where donkeys are beasts of burden and really put to slavery type of work. This guy looked too heavy to ride this donkey. Not that he gave a sh_t. But he tried and ended up screaming.
Score here is 1 for the donkey and negative numbers for his dumbass abuser.
I just love stories with happy endings! SNIF SNIF…
Or extremely friendly depending on how you treat them.
What this kid was doing to the donkey is exactly what he learned from his Poppa, and from his Poppa’s Poppa and on and on.
The 3rd world doesn’t give a flying fig about the animals they use and abuse. I’m waiting for someone here to try to give me a lecture to counter this because I’ve seen it over and over first hand.
It always makes me sick and mad as hell.
A lesson for all of us.
That donkey could have and should have done far worse to that little moron.
