LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The mothers of two teens accused of intentionally hitting a cyclist which resulted in his death addressed the allegations on Wednesday.
Both teens, Jesus Ayala and Jzamir Keys appeared in separate rooms in juvenile court that morning. They are expected to face charges including murder and attempted murder.
Ayala, the accused driver, was 17 years old at the time of the alleged crime spree. Tuesday marked his last court appearance in the juvenile system as the case was formally moved to adult court.
8 News Now reached out to Ayala’s mother by phone.
“I don’t know why he did this,” she said. “I don’t know if God can forgive this.”
Keys was taken into custody on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
The 8 News Now Investigators reached out to his mother by phone. She initially hung up and then responded to a text message stating her family was not making any statements or addressing any accusations without their legal team.
“My son’s side of the story will be told, ‘the truth,’ not the inaccuracies the media will try to portray,” the text read.

In the video recorded by the passenger, the teens are seen hitting another car on the road moments before hitting and killing Probst.
The teens had stolen four cars that day, police said.
The 8 News Now Investigators have learned that Jesus Ayala, the accused driver has a lengthy record in the juvenile system.

I’m not an expert on Nevada law, but I think they’re both on the hook for the murder.
Except the passenger is on video telling the driver to "hit his ass." Oh, and there's this little thing called the felony murder rule. Whereas if'n you are out committing felonies (grand theft auto is a felony) with your buddy, and someone dies as a result of said felony, whether you killed the victim directly or not, you are on the hook for murder.
Do NOT put them in a comfortable jail w food and bed.
Do unto them what THEY did. Put them on a bike and run them over. Do UNTO OTHERS Right?
If we killed murderers the way they killed others we may put a stop to this. I doubt they want to die like they did to others.
Both need to be tried as adults. Maybe rather than teaching 'how to be a sexual weirdo for perverts' our schools should be teaching basic 'right and wrong'. Not that crap about 'lifeboat ethics' but stuff like respect for the rights of others, thou shall not steal, etc...
With any luck, he can earn it posthumously like this earlier famous chap...
It seems that some coordination and communication is in order between the cops and the schools. I suspect that there will be after the lawyers get through with this, and the band director gets a big check.

Stealing property is like making someone a slave for a period of time. The person has to trade time at work to pay for the property. Even if it is covered by insurance, we all have to pay more for insurance which costs us all time. We effectively are working for nothing which is what slavery is.
At least one mother understands the concept of God and forgiveness.

The video is proof of not only their committing the crime but malice and intent. Charge them as adults with felony murder. A good prosecutor would just have to show the jury that video frame by frame and the autopsy photos of the victim. These punks deserve to be thrown into the general population of the meanest prison in the state with no hope of parole. Let their mommas go on social media to lament the hell their kids are experiencing.
If so, they won't tell us. Or it will be buried deep within an article somewhere. But if the mother needs a translator, it's clear she's an immigrant. If she'd grown up here, she'd speak English. So even if she's legal, this country was nice enough to let her in, a woman who raised a child like this. Why did we need her and her rotten son? We're not taking in the best immigrants; we're taking in big problems and burdens, both legally and illegally.
