@RandPaul
Today I'm putting congressional leadership & @POTUS on notice that I will oppose any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding. I will not consent to expedited passage of any spending measure that provides any more US aid to Ukraine.

Awesome. Now we should enact a law that 25% of all military spending must be spent protecting our own borders.
Uh Oh. Now Ukraine is going to put Rand Paul on their US Fed.gov-funded public enemies kill list.
That’s how absurd and dangerous this situation has become.
Excellent
I’m proud to have voted for Rand Paul. I just wish we could have chunked Turtle in primaries years ago.
“I will not consent to expedited passage of any spending measure that provides any more US aid to Ukraine.”
Okay Rand. You just said you would not consent to any fast spending on war money to the Ukraine. Does that mean you won’t let them have any more? Or even any less? Nope. You just said nothing unless you mean to stop it. That would be different. Paying the money more slowly doesn’t change the inevitable. And by paying it slower it puts up the illusion it is less with smaller amounts going out slower. So instead of 2 + 2 it is 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1.... and they lost money in the logistics. Did they actually pay people to come up with this scam? Any liberal could have come up with this.

I stand with Rand!
Unless we get forty more Republicans to do the same, it is a useless gesture ...
Having said that, I, too, am proud to have him as my Senator.
I Stand with RAND.
The problem is when the federal government shuts down, it doesn’t hurt at all. I think they should make it a real shutdown and stop all checks to any government program and don’t pay federal workers at all until the shutdown is over and no back pay. Let’s be real with the shutdown because honestly it’s a joke.
Well, it seems doubtful McConnell will run for reelection. That’s the chance for Kentucky to choose a strong conservative in the primary.
Or, I should clarify ,that with his recent Health scares, it would seem improbable that he would choose to run for another 6 year term. And we know some politicians just never want to give up.
how stupid
Rand is dumb
Rand Paul cannot block a Senate bill on his own. All he can do is refuse to accept whatever procedural shortcuts the Senate puts in place to get a bill passed quickly without going through the formal committee work, cloture process, and a roll call vote.
That’s what he means by “fast spending.”
“how stupid
Rand is dumb”
Did you come from behind, or under that rock??
Look who is talking. A Zeeper. Dumb as stump Biden supporters.
No he just loves the media spotlight. Rand has done many of these pointless protests, which have always come to naught. Rand was a usele

These Senators voted to save Joe on the Debt Ceiling - and they make it so Rand Paul and Ted Cruz can’t stop anything.

This is a great idea.
Ukraine is not an ally and Ukraine is not a member of NATO.
We need to put much more support in OUR US military before considering any further assistance to Ukraine.
Rand is right on this one.
Same argument can be made with Taiwan. Taiwan is not our ally, we don't even have diplomatic relations with Taiwan as opposed to Ukraine.
China views the war in Ukraine as a "test case" for its own designs on Taiwan, according to Taiwanese Deputy Foreign Minister Roy Chun Lee.
In an exclusive interview with RFE/RL on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC security conference in Slovakia, Lee explained why Taipei wants the West to keep supporting Ukraine's war effort, how Europe's stance on Taiwan is changing, and in what ways China and Russia's close ties could affect the balance of power in the Asia-Pacific region.
"Until a final victory arrives, defending Ukraine against Russia has [direct] implications for Taiwan," Lee said. "In particular, it shows the potential support that we will receive from our democratic allies in the case of a Chinese military invasion."
