To Impeach, or Not to Impeach, That is the Question

Republicans may not get a conviction but sunlight is the best disinfectant.

William Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, “To be or not to be: that is the question.” I ask the same about impeaching President Joe Biden – to impeach or not impeach. Speaker Kevin McCarthy answered that question, and the process is moving forward, at least in appearance.

Here is what Hamlet then said,

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,

And by opposing end them?

Hamlet is wondering if it is better to end one’s suffering through suicide or to take the slings and arrows of “outrageous fortune” by fighting on. Which is preferable? Will the Republicans, known as “the stupid party,” botch this, committing political suicide in November 2024? Or will they finally grow a spine and push back against the Democrats and administrative state?

I know how former President Donald Trump would answer as he did even before he was elected president. In a famous October 2016 speech he promised, “Nevertheless, I take all of these slings and arrows gladly for you.”

Will impeaching Biden be a political home run or lead to a “sea of troubles” in November 2024? Many have pontificated on the merits and pitfalls of impeachment. What is the best course forward?

President Biden’s transgressions certainly rise to the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” His family sold the former vice president’s influence to foreign players, including countries not friendly to U.S. interests.

then the DoJ can’t hide documents about the Bidens

yes they can, and they will... they do NOT care about the repercussions. power must be seized by force at any cost... that is who these totalitarian unistate members really are.

they aim to crush democracy while claiming to save it. its what they do.

I am really afraid that McCarthy (RINO, CA) won’t do it when the time gets here. I hope he does have hearings and have an impeachment vote. But, I won’t be holding my breath.

“I say impeach. I don’t care if democRAT voters will have sympathy for Pedo. They are going to steal the election anyway so it is better to go down fighting.”

They say impeachment is a ‘political’ event. As an American, it’s about rule of law and protecting the Citizens and the Constitution. ‘IF’ Biden has passed government information on, via his son, to foreign entities for money (check the laptop emails versus the Documents he illegally had) then he is a head of a SPY ring and the PEOPLE need to be protected.

Yes, they will steal the election anyway, even if they have a worse candidate that Joe Biden they already have plans. That’s a entirely different problem.

An “impeachment inquiry” will give the House subpoena powers over Biden’s tax records and bank records. But McCarthy must first hold a vote on the House floor “to authorize an impeachment inquiry” in order to give the committees the proper legal subpoena powers.

On October 15, 2019, three weeks after unilaterally declaring an “impeachment inquiry against Trump,” Speaker Pelosi, backed by Adam Schiff, insisted there was no requirement to hold an “authorizing vote,” and that they would not hold an “authorizing vote.”

CNN reported October 2019, Pelosi, hot to “get Trump,” clearly stated,
<><>”We’re not here to call bluffs.
<><>We’re here to find the truth,
<><>to uphold the Constitution of the United States …
<><>This is not a game for us.
<><>This is deadly serious,
<><>we’re on a path to truth
<><>and a timetable that respects our Constitution.”

So is McCarthy, now.

Trump’s second impeachment was on January 31, 2021. Your article is dated November 8, 2021, 9 months AFTER Trump’s second impeachment.

The U.S. House voted 232-196 on Thursday morning [October 31, 2019] to pass the resolution that lays out the rules for the impeachment inquiry into President Donald J. Trump, as it heads into a more public phase. The Times tracked how every representative voted, live from the House chamber.

Thursday’s vote was the first time since the Democrats began their inquiry last month that the entire House was asked to go on the record about the impeachment process.

Impeachment inquiry and authorizing inquiry are two separate votes.

It would be easier to take a baby step and change your voter registration to
(I) Constitution.
If enough (R)s and (D)s do this because they are tired of being played by the two grifting camps called political parties, they could become 'the majority' that wins the 2024 election. Especially if Trump jumps to the Constitution Party and becomes it's candidate.

I think Biden should be impeached...at the least. Some are asking where’s the evidence? Looks to me like it has been there for some time now. Just being at the head of “negligent running of the country” is enough for me. After all, why is he the president?
