Angry New Yorkers heckled and screamed at Democrat lawmakers during a chaotic press conference Friday morning as they tried to address the city’s migrant crisis. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jerry Nadler and other Democrats were drowned out by the furious crowd outside the Roosevelt Hotel mega shelter in Midtown.
“Immigrants makes America strong,” said Nadler. “Nowhere is that clearer than right here in New York.”
“Close the freaking border!” one protester shouted as Nadler spoke. The protesters waved signs against illegal immigration and flipped the Democrats off as they spoke.
“The city is always changing,” Nadler continued. The one constant is that people from around the world want to come here to build a better life for themselves and we’re all better for that.”
“Go back to your country! Go back to your own country!” one woman screamed. “You are not welcome here! You are not welcome here!”
“This is America!” another protester hollered. Behind him, another man was seen flipping off the Democrats.
AOC was also drowned out as she tried to articulate her three-point solution to the crisis, which amounted to allocating more federal resources to house migrants, giving them jobs, and providing extended temporary protected status.
“Close the border!” protesters loudly chanted as AOC spoke.
Nadler seemed out of his element when pressed about the overcrowding in NY schools. “New York is welcoming countless migrants,” Nadler said, as protesters screamed behind him.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned in a speech last week that the nonstop influx of illegal aliens into the Big Apple “will destroy” the city and blamed Texas Governor Greg Abbott for busing many of them there. More than 110,000 migrants have reportedly poured into the sanctuary city in the past year. The city has spent about $1.5 billion in the last fiscal year on housing the illegal aliens and has reportedly cut police budget funding to allocate more money toward them.
“I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City,” Adams complained during a Town Hall meeting on the Upper West Side. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”
“They will never be allowed to walk down the streets again,” said one angry New Yorker, when asked what he thought about the Democrats’ speeches. “They have destroyed our city!”
The crisis at the open border, meanwhile continues to get worse.
According to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, Per CBP sources, “Border Patrol apprehended over 7,400 illegal immigrants at the southern border” on Tuesday. When “combined with CBP ports of entry, there were over 9,100 migrant encounters in one day,” Melugin added on X. “I’m told CBP released 5,000+ yesterday w/ a notice to appear. As of this morning, CBP had over 21,000 people in custody.”
Border Patrol agents are conducting “mass releases” of illegals in San Diego, according to Melugin.
“DHS personnel in Arizona are now using the term “freedom runs” when instructing BP agents about mass releases of illegal aliens in Tucson,” said the Border Patrol Union in a statement
There is almost no manpower left for enforcement duties as agents’ calls for assistance go unanswered and the vast majority are tied up with huge numbers of surrendering border crashers. Agents have been instructed to prioritize the processing of surrendering illegal aliens instead of patrolling the border.
And while all this sanctioned lawlessness ties up resources, the murderous cartel thugs continue to run hugely successful border operations while making billions of dollars smuggling millions of illegal aliens, tons of fentanyl and whatever else they want to send here, courtesy of Joe Biden.
The Biden Admin will not be satisfied until every last spark of BP agent morale is extinguished.

... Gov. Abbott put 11% of the present wetback inventory in the Big Rotten Apple. Texas people prayed for an answer as to how to dispose of this valuable assortment of noncitizen fertilizer. Adams wants them in "NEW YOKE CITY". (Adam's words). Now he's crying like a little girl and wants to lay blame somewhere. You got what you asked for and you only reinforced the usual behavior of the stereotypical black mayor. Boo hoo. Cry Texas a river and hold on 'cause you ain't seen nothin' yet. Texas knows all about the problem and doesn't give "a New Yoke hoot" about it.

True-- and since the press won't challenge them, they need to face this kind of 'welcome' everytime the try to pull off one of these political stunts.
