DeSantis did not flip Florida. Trump did, remember; he won Florida first. And DeSantis was losing until Trump campaigned for him, pulled him from way behind, and DeSantis was able to sqeeze out a victory.

Trump did not lose the House. He had the RINOs sabotaging him, and it is normally in this country for the administration to lose the midterm elections.
But to compare the forces arrayed against Trump with the minute state forces arrayed against DeSantis shows a lack of good sense.
Trump losing the House and being forced to legislate by Executive Order is evidence of his leadership abilities.
I would also point out that Trump had issued major executive orders even BEFORE the GOP lost the House in 2018 — which was a big reason why they lost the House in the first place.
