While war mongering D.C. politicians refuse to compromise on funding for their war in Ukraine, American families are wondering how this shutdown will impact them at home.

PUNCHBOWL — Breaking: Conservative House Republicans helped sink a GOP-drafted stopgap funding bill, pushing the federal government closer to a shutdown.
Twenty-one House Republicans voted against the measure, which would’ve kept the government open until Oct. 31. In truth, this continuing resolution would’ve been rejected by the Senate. But it’s a black eye for the GOP leadership.
House Republicans will meet at 4 p.m. today to discuss their next steps. The government will shut down Sunday morning at 12:01 a.m.
