Here’s the thing. Are we the Trump FAMILY Train, or the Trump DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY Train?
In families, things happen, and healthy people deal with them in the right way. You can’t just sweep offences under the rug and pretend they didn’t happen, and expect those who were attacked (yes, attacked) to just be good little obedient siblings and say nothing. That’s not right and it’s not healthy.
I don’t know who you or anyone were referencing with the posts about malicious talk, gossip, or whatever. Was it Starlit who first called out Spunky? Was it Spunky who defended herself? Was it Rusty who recalled her experiences with hoosiermama? Was it me who recalled my experiences with her? Was it CottonBall who made it clear what is not gossip? Forgive me if I’ve gotten it all wrong.
A healthy family addresses the issues and resolves them. It’s that simple. Hoosiermama was, at one time, quite rude and very unkind to some of us. I recall being quite viciously attacked for absolutely nothing, other than having a bit of fun with everyone during one of the rallies. I was attacked for joking about us all moving to an island. She reprimanded me for a number of things. I honestly wondered what I had done to this woman to deserve such hostility. Enough said. So I’m supposed to pretend that didn’t happen? I called her out for it after I had taken enough of it. I’m sorry if this makes anyone uncomfortable, but it is the truth. We have to deal in truth.
Having said that, in a normal family the person should be addressed for their wrong-doing. They may feel convicted, they may not. If they do, then that’s God’s doing and that’s wonderful. The person who has offended should then make a sincere apology to those they offended. At that time, ALL IS FORGIVEN. The offence needs to stop, and the whole thing will never be mentioned again. We operate like that in our family - we don’t pretend or just sweep things under the rug because we don’t care for confrontation (nobody likes it) or it makes us feel uncomfortable.
There’s nothing wrong with handling things correctly. These are the instructions God gave us. It’s a slap in the face to ask those who got the unkind treatment to just pretend nothing happened. That’s like letting the bully at school carry on just because it’s easier to do that than to correct him. That’s not right.
In any case, I know you love and care about everyone, pax. I honestly think we all do, even though we get the odd bump along the way. Our thread can survive this. What it won’t survive is not dealing with things properly, and letting some people think their feelings count for nothing because it’s easier that way.
If hoosiermama reads the thread, then let me say that I hope she considers taking the right steps and coming back on. We may challenge some of her postings, but we’ll do it politely and honestly. I hope she’s doing well in her new home and I’m sure we’d all like to see pics. If she chooses to stay off, then that’s up to her. I don’t think anyone wishes her anything but the best.
I hope this makes some sense out of things, and we can move on and enjoy each other’s company for the bit of time we spend together.

There is nothing political about impeaching Joe Biden. The impeachment clause in our Constitution was literally written for a presidency such as this.
We knew he was a foreign agent before he ever stepped foot into the White House.
So to all the pathetic democrats crying on here about how this is a political hit job, we are laughing at you. The only evidence missing to close this Biden corruption case is his video confession.
You communists impeached Trump after a phone call. Not an inquiry, just started impeachment proceedings against Trump for the crimes of Joe Biden.
We will never forget. And personally, I can’t wait to see evidence and testimony of his corruption on CSpan.

You would think even with a slim 5 member House majority Kevin could get the votes. If there are Republicans that wouldn’t vote for these two simple things then people in their districts need to get rid of them.
