I mentioned before that HEPA 13 (considered hospital grade) air filtration can help protect you and yours from this incident, but I also ought to mention the effectiveness of direct UV light sterilization and whole house Ozone treatment that can also be tragedy preventing in homes where black mold has been discovered.
Neither of these methods should be used without FIRST familiarizing yourself with the all of the potential hazards and appropriate safety precautions, however.
For example, with care, I use one of these for a minute or so by turning the o3 ozone knob on and up to “2” or “3”, when I have a need to make strong cooking or other odors almost instantly disappear, replaced by the “smell” of a fresh thunderstorm.
Except for the Ozone function, this unit should only be considered as a very small room, car or hotel room air purifier.

If I were to remove all the plants, pets and people for a day, I could lock the place up, put this unit on a timer with the 03 generation knob set to maximum for 24 hours, and kill pretty much everything left in my place, including any air exposed mold.
That, and germicidal UV light bathing (Caution, again) of your crawl space or other potential problem areas could also help.
Air the place out thoroughly before re-introducing anything living.
Note that too much ozone and/or UV light exposure over time, can degrade various plastics and other materials.
Don’t leave the (three) Ozone Generation Plates installed that Ozone Generator box, if there are going to be kids or pets around that could turn on the Ozone knob. (The rest of it isn’t unusually dangerous.)
