Question from the Canadian not familiar with all of these goings-on.....do the same rules apply that applied to McCarthy? Vacate the chair, etc.? Is it possible that Gaetz is working with Demmers, who seems to be the only one they can possibly get through, with the anticipation of having him under a bit of control?
I agree with this commentary from Liz Wheeler. I also still don’t like Jenna Ellis. The two are compatible lol.
John James has been such a disappointment. I guess they got some good pics at his first official congress party.
There is a one member threshold on a motion to vacate the chair.
This rule was adopted for this session of the House of Representatives, which ends in Janaury,2025.
But they can have a vote to change the rules as well.
It does not affect the Senate, of course.

The petty attacks on President Trump from some in the GOP demonstrate a glaring ingratitude and grave failure to understand the harrowing moment in which we find ourselves.
President Trump is facing a regime persecution like nothing ever witnessed before in this nation’s history. All because he’s fighting for us against them. Against the ruling class. Against the Deep State. Against the neocons and neofascists. Fighting to end their reign. Fighting to stop their wars. Fighting to reverse their assault on our citizenry and nationhood.
He’s facing down a thousand years in prison so that we might recapture our freedom. If he submitted to their corrupt demands it would end tomorrow — but he won’t submit because he is our gladiator in the arena, battling for our families and futures.
We are on the doorstep of a Third World War and on the precipice of the complete and irrevocable dissolution of our own territorial sovereignty.
President Trump is the one who will resurrect our peace and restore our land.
Imagine then choosing this moment, as he faces down one merciless political persecution after another, to engage in personal slights, pile-ons and piddling polemics.
How about saying two simple words to the man who has endured so much for us all: THANK YOU.

Everyone who votes for Emmers on the House floor, I’ll actively work to primary them out.
That includes MTG, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, or any of them.
If I wanted a neocon, Big Pharma, George Soros stooge as Speaker, I would’ve voted Democrat.
