Why is the GOP picking a Speaker with secret ballots behind closed doors?

I’m watching Charlie Kirk and he has said nothing.

In my opinion, if he tries to run again at this time, it would be a huge stupid political mistake. I would think he knows that.
I don’t know what news he was on, didn’t watch, but I’m sure the media would love to continue their negative Republican narrative as long as they can, and they used him. He should have stayed away but his ego probably wouldn’t let him.
Same can be said for others.

The RAV scroll is saying that “High stakes GOP election for Speaker underway between Scalise and Jordan.”

They selected Scalise to go up against Jeffries. Vote coming up soon. Jordan had some support, but Scalise had much more....so we’re told by Newsmax. Done behind closed doors....and (insert melody) noone knows what goes on behind closed doors.
