Next law: Two beers, two straw limit per week.

Paper Drinking Straws May Be Harmful to Health and Worse for the Environment Than Plastic Versions

More importantly, they're gross. Nothing like reaching for a cold drink and getting a mouthful of paper pulp as the straw goes soggy. But hey, it's a small price to pay to soothe the neuroses of some environmentalists.

If I remember correctly, the paper wrap on cigarettes is full of dangerous chemicals too.

Adult sippy glasses would do the trick.

Like the supermarket plastic bags...no people have to buy heavy plastic...6 times the size and twice the mils of market varieties.

I remember paper straws being common when I was a kid in the 60s. They worked fine, though there were no eco claims here n those days.

It never was really about saving the planet.

I got a box lunch yesterday that came with a drink. The box contained a paper straw wrapped in plastic.

1. Pro or con about paper straws

2. there never were good “environmental” reasons against plastic straws.

Then we should just go back to the ones actually made of straw. I'm sure there's no shortage of "feed stock".

When ever you see the word “MAY” you know they don’t have a clue but the people paying for the research want to scare people over something so they issue a report with all the right waffle words so when proven wrong they can say we did not claim anything, only that something “may” happen.

Every time I go to Walmart I buy a $2 styrofoam cooler to bring home and set alight in my back yard, just to make certain we’re all dead in 10 years.

Paper straws are disgusting too. They have a weird feel and melt in your mouth.
