Basically he stole her money and won a bet and won over $100 million Nigerian dollars, about $174,000 USD.

I have these Africans and Indians telling me that she does not get the full amount of $100 million Nigerian dollars and should only get the $10,000 back. I tried to explain to them that the win belongs to her because it was her money and she did not relinquish ownership of the money.

In 2021, the man from Nigeria allegedly stole the money after his girlfriend had left it on his shelf while visiting him.

Stupidity abounds. She really asked for it.

He would be wise to offer her 30 million to Settle . She would probably take it. But he’ll probably be stupid and take it to trial.

But is he a Nigerian prince? I can understand how he’d wanna get his money out of the country, so if he’d just send me an email, I can probably help.

Who says “crime does not pay”? Presently, the criminals are getting all the breaks, while the rest of us are just trying to avoid being cancelled.

So the amount stolen and bet was $US 17.40.

Grabbing a $20 from a girlfriend's purse isn't exactly the crime of the century.

The Nigerian “Dollar” or Naria is about 1/740th of a US dollar.n. If this was 10,000 Nigerian “dollars” it is a little over 13 US dollars.

Likewise if it is 40 million being requested it is 54k.

He sounds like a real a-hole.

And who’s hiring these so-called writers?

“After he won over 100 times the amount of money he gambled on, (facepalm) he refused to give the person (singular) he stole from (good grief) their (plural) fair share of the money.

Big, fat ‘F.’

I would think that whomever he won from would deny paying the $$ since he used stolen $$ to enter the contest. He had no right to the $$ or any right to use it so he has no right to the winnings and the payer should not pay him.

But the money is all tied up and he needs our help to get it out of the bank- won’t cost us much- and the payoff will be yuge!

A man used stolen money to gamble on in a bet.

Then he is entitled to none of the winnings. The woman he stole from should get everything.

I think she got her 10k back and now wants another 40k. for a total of 1/2 his winnings.

Sounds fair to me.

so many stupid points about the story, but any winnings from her stolen money should be given to her. The thief should get nothing but jail time.

she may have the legal right to claim all 100 mil.

If he is prosecuted for a crime, he is not entitled to profit from it.

As a penalty of theft she should get it all.   She could give him an "acquisition fee" of ten thousand.   But that would only be a suggestion.
