Dupixent Cost

Posted on 08/26/2023 3:01:33 PM PDT by STJPII

My wife has developed a horrible skin rashes, size of grapefruits. Doctor prescribed Dupixent because nothing else is working after other medications and light therapy. Anyone else gone through this?

Has she taken the covid shot? If so, could it be an immune system reaction? If so, one of the vaxx detox protocols (with Ivermectin) might be something to consider.

Also, IVM (oral or topical cream) is used to treat a variety of dermatological conditions.

My question is: What other prescribed medications is your wife taking?

Meds can cause some bad side effects and the typical doctor is often all too eager to prescribe another drug to counteract the side effects.

Just my 2 cents.

Please take a look at time-restricted feeding.
Sometimes known as intermittent fasting.
In addition, the lower intestine’s health is critical to the health of a person. Inflammation is directly related to the foods we eat, and how out body processes those foods is very important.
Remember, “pharmacology is toxicology”. Medicines are a kind of poison.

I suffered with skin ailments for over 35 years and was on methotrexate for 35 years. I went gluten free and in 6 months my skin was completely cleared and I have not had any skin problems now for almost 35 years. Prayers said. God Bless.

http://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/22114-red-light-therapy

The link has what appears to be good information about the red LED therapy. You can even purchase your own device for that part of the treatment. All that I’m reading about Dupixent and the light therapy points to eczema. Did the doctor give you a specific diagnosis or is this all to eliminate possibilities while treating the symptoms? Obviously, it’s none of my business, but you and your wife need to know what’s going on before making decisions about what looks like an extremely expensive drug.

There are alternatives to Dupixent noted at http://druggenius.com/alternatives/dupixent/ , but it might not hurt (too much in the bank account) to get a second opinion.

I finally found the cost of Dupixent, at least for the uninsured. As one of those, I would have to forego it and try the OTC ointments and lotions and maybe try out the red LED therapy in some form. A variety of devices are available on Amazon and probably elsewhere. Some of them look very targeted and some are in lamp form. Either way, you have to block the light from your eyes and make sure any medications you’re taking are compatible.

May God bless her with complete healing!

Yes.
My daughter went through a year and a half of the burning, itching, scratching. Nothing the doctors gave her helped.
Now, here’s the kicker. She went to the dentist for a tooth cleaning and the dentist noticed an enlargement in her upper gum so they called for a scan. She had an abscess the size of a walnut that went into her nasal cavity.
It never hurt, ached, or caused her any discomfort but a slight stuffy nose. They drained and packed the abscess and all that itching, scratching and dry skin cleared right up.
The dentist was amazed that she had no symptoms or pain and said it was a case for the books.

I have a friend who said when she was young she had something on her leg that would never heal or go away and her aunt mashed up a plantain leaf and put it on there, and it healed up.

The Amish have different salves you could try, like this plantain one, on Lehman’s web site.
https://www.lehmans.com/product/all-natural-plantain-salve/

or this drawing one

I recently got a bad rash on top of my feet from something used in a pedicure (lotion or whatever.) It lasted a week, and I used those salves plus Benedryl cream.

When I was in my 20’s I had a horrible case of poison ivy with weeping skin lesions and was given steroids and some other medication that I was instructed to not use alcohol while taking it as it could slow down breathing rate and such. Follow that advice if they give her such medication (woke up at three p.m. the next day after one glass of wine.) Sorry, can’t recall what it was.

Thanks for your response. She had the shot 2 years ago. The skin issues preceded the shot. Ivermectin topical has come up before, you are the second person to mention this. I am going to order it. Thanks

The shot could have worsened this, but who knows. Regardless, it sounds awful, and that drug they prescribed is ridiculously expensive. IVM is well worth a try. If she does use it, please come back to let us know if it helps.

I’ve added her (and you) to my daily prayer list.+++

I’ve been taking IVM prophylactically since it cured my case of covid back in 2021 and it’s been a miracle drug for me. Since then, it’s also cured my warts, horrible toenail fungus, severe GERD, arthritis, and — it’s lowered my hypertension so much I’ve been able to reduce my med dosage by about 1/2 to 3/4.

I forgot to include: If you want to buy IVM — pill form or topical cream — no Rx required — here’s a list of reputable sources (all but one is is India):
