If the roof is blue it is probably metal. It is more expensive than composite roofs. The Oligarchs can afford it and are more likely have them. One good reason for a metal roof is that it is less likely to catch on fire. That appears to have worked.

I looked in to a metal roof for my house and boy howdy are they expensive. There were multiple colors to choose from, however. I ended up putting a more expensive roof on in the form of solar panels. LOL.

Another thing that struck me about these houses was that none of them rich folk had solar panels. Wonder why.

Sane people in forested areas use metal roofs. The cheaper kind is corrugated zinc, i believe; fancier ones are colored. All our buildings have metal roofs.
