I was at the nail shop on Tuesday.

They said they have not been busy at all and the last time I was there, after all other customers had left the manicurists were shouting, “Let’s Go Brandon.”

A woman and her mother were there, my manicurist said it was about only the second time she had seen them since Covid started.

Conversation got to Covid coming out again.

She said the first time they got it that they were very sick, second and third time not so much.

I said hubby and I had it once, took Ivermectin and it wasn’t too bad.

The minute I mentioned Ivermectin she went off on it being for horses.

I tried to correct her and tell her it is for humans also, got a RX for it from a doctor, not a vet.
How people in Africa take it all the time, low cases of Covid.
It has been around for humans since the 50’s.

Told her I was not vaxxed. She shouted, “Shame on you.”

She went on very loudly how her and her mother were fully vaxxed and waiting for the next vax to come out to get vaxxed again.
She does not want her mother in a hospital with a ventilator and not being able to visit her.

It was like I was talking to a brick wall.

I do have a Trump mask in my purse, was going to put it on. I use it to promote Trump, not for protection, lol.

When she left my manicurist told me that since the mother had the vaccine, she now has Alzheimer’s.

If they do propose more vaccines, we are going to be the bad guys again.

Prayers for the vaccinated.

Regarding your anecdote on the mother-daughter who went to the nail shop for the first time in a long time.

I wouldn’t take their reaction as the norm. After all, they have been afraid all this time to go out to the nail shop. Most of the people who got at least one vaxseem have not been so neurotic as to avoid former pleasures these past few years.

I would suggest keeping a close watch on your state’s vaxx rate and pointing out, when the opportunity arises, how low the percentage of Convid vaxseem uptake has been in the past month.

Don’t let people pull the “shame on you” bit for not getting vaxxed when you have been joined in this lately by probably 85% of your state’s population.

I wouldn’t bother praying for anyone who keeps getting these vaxseems at the first opportunity. Save your prayers for the people wavering in their decision to get more because they have doubts. Pray they listen to the little voice in the back of their mind. Pray for the students who decided to change their college plans because their college required a booster. Pray they fall into something that makes it clear to them they are on the correct path, such as some community college class they signed up for as something to fill their time turning into a passion for them. Pray that people who were forced to take the first round of vaxseems to keep their jobs stay healthy or get healthy and turn their resentment to something positive, such as working to make sure RFK Jr. get on the Dem primary ballot in their state. Pray for people ostracized by their vax-happy friends and family to find new friends.

Indeed. My best friend had her mother Moderna-ed early on, because she thought she was at an age that made her vulnerable, even though she was then in good shape physically and mentally. But she herself, and her husband, did not get jabbed (thank God). I would have tried to talk her out of it, except that we weren’t yet best friends at the time, and I didn’t know. The mom’s health has been deteriorating and she’s been hospitalized various times, had a pacemaker and mitral valve clamp; now she is losing her will to live and sleeps most of the day. No history in her family of heart problems before this. My friend has been wondering aloud if these issues are because of the jab. I think she knows deep down that they must be. She sometimes beats herself up for having made that decision for her mother so quickly. I have to tread very carefully with what I say, and just show compassion and support at this point. And we have another unvaxxed friend whose sister got their mother Pfizered, and she has dementia now. Some people have to be shown. It’s very sad.
