The government is literally blocking aid into Lahaina. The people who are actually getting supplies into the people there are literally smuggling it in like drug cartels on jet skis and speedboats, landing on private property. They aren’t allowed to use the public docks and landings.
I can’t imagine that even if they actually wanted eo help rather than pocketing the money, the Red Cross would be defying the government thugs to do so, like the people who are trying to help their friends, neighbors and relatives.

A friend, a WW2 Army nurse who followed Patton, had nothing good to say about the Red Cross.

Texas Baptist Men are one of the best relief organizations out there.
I don't know IF they were any "good" prior to that, but I have my doubts.
They promise to do things and NEVER have done/do what they promise!
My dad was a 3rd degree Knight. He had the 4th degree Knights at his funeral. My son, 11 at the time, was impressed.
He must have been a very good man. The family of a 3rd Degree Knight can request an Honor Guard for a funeral, but attendance is optional given he was not a 4th Degree Knight.
He was the holiest man I ever knew.
