Proving that, no matter the crisis, the left will never let it go to waste.
The devastating fire in Lahaina, Hawaii, left behind a swath of horrific destruction, everything from known lives lost to as-yet-unknown lives lost to massive property damage. It is a true disaster and a serious crisis. And true to the Democrat mantra, the state’s Democrat governor, Josh Green, already has plans not to let that crisis go to waste.
I must admit that I’ve kept an emotional distance from the horror in Hawaii. When I realized this, I wondered if I had somehow wandered into sociopath territory without realizing it. How could I be unmoved? However, as the news has unfolded, I’ve understood why I was insulating myself a bit.
Moving with their usual warp speed, Democrats have been following Rahm Emanuel’s dictum that “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” Most obviously and inevitably, they’ve been blaming climate change for a disaster that almost certainly had its roots in an invasive grass combined with poor maintenance. (Poor maintenance was also behind the California fires that were used to push the climate change agenda.)
However, Governor Green, a northeastern Democrat, has another idea for using the disaster to further Democrat goals: He’s contemplating having the state take over the land and turn it into a worker’s paradise:
I’m already thinking about ways for the state to acquire that land so that we can put it into workforce housing, to put it back into families, or to make it open spaces in perpetuity as a memorial to people who were lost. We want this to be something that we remember after the pain passes.

bidEn is offering each household $700, while the insurance companies are offering $0 - due to “code violations”, there is no insurance payouts.

There was a kid on American Idol that told the panel that he lived in Seattle, but born in Hawaii.
Told them he and his family were “priced out of paradise”.
In an interview with the guy that wrote and produced, Yellowstone, he spoke of his storyline as being about the landgrabs of the rich and running people out of their homes.
Go to Montana and Idaho and it’s rich folks from the coasts snatching up land to live that ‘mountain life’. Only they don’t really live that mountain life.
Seems the Marxist Dems want to own Hawaii.
Forgive my ignorance.
What is that aircraft?
Low income housing?
Just think...the native Hawaiians were dispossessed of their land and sovereignty so that two urban Eastern European Jews and an unrepentant Japanese woman could rule over them.
And supposedly, all the guys who fought in the Pacific were doing it to make that possible.
Oddly, since some of them were my family and friends, I don’t recall any of them saying that.
Maybe it’s time to reconsider state hood, and admit that Queen Liliʻuokalani was wronged.
China naval base.
It appears to be a directed laser weapon. There is a conspiracy theory about the cause of the fire involving such a device.
The State is Going to have to fight the WEF, Blackrock (who want it for a ‘15 minute city’) and Oprah who wants it as a buffer to her her already extensive holdings on the island) for it.
Sell to the big companies or the government will take it from you.

I was thinking Obama wanted a new library site.
Edward Case is an American lawyer and Democratic politician, and since 2019 has served as the U.S. representative for Hawaii’s 1st congressional district, which covers the urban core of Honolulu. He represented the 2nd district, which covers the rest of the state, from 2002 to 2007.
Interesting piece of information:
His cousin, Steve Case, is the co-founder of America Online, as well as the former chairman of Time Warner.

It does draw attention away from how this was mismanaged by the Democrat authorities in HI. They’ll mismanage their proposed “solutions” too. Burned or not, that land is worth a lot of money. Imagine the crime if they turn it into another Indian reservation.
