re. “hilarious misspelling”
After my first try yesterday (Content under review) was deleted, I tried again this morning, without typing the “T” word...

The Japanese have some of the strangest TV programs on the planet.

LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
Christopher Wray, as an aside in making an unrelated point, recently testified before a House Committee ( probably the Judiciary sub- committee) that he personally flew to Las Vegas, during the investigation at Mandalay.
A class graduation is assumed to be the setting, in this case, but is not precisely reported..
Lovely that Wray and dear Barr would attend and celebrate the “TOP COP”, for his recent DS certification, both on hand to highlight the ever emerging pecking order of recruits that Graduation must bring to DS Operations at the Bureau.
“Play ball” and ascend, has taken on a darker meaning in the USA, in the realm of Law & Justice.
Only a cynic might follow a couple of disasters of such awful magnitude, occurring miles apart, would find it a coincidence that the local top cop present for investigating both historic disasters is the same man.
We will undoubtedly be hearing more of Pelletier.

” Pelletier recently obtained a certificate in criminal justice from the FBI National Academy, with Former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr and current FBI Director Christopher Wray both present at his graduation.”

I watched the tire ski jump rolling competition.
I am forever changed.
7 kegs??? Can we please have that in gallons??? Stop trying to sneak in metric (teasing, teasing!) 🤣🤣
Big troll from GEOTUS me thinks.
They still have to grind the larger pieces 😱😱
That photo of fir trees is probably from Paradise.
Someone said winds on Maui don’t come from the east. True, tradewinds do not come from the east. But Hurricane Dora was not a trade wind. The channel between Maui and the Big Island is very deep and winds get very heavy there. Once when flying over that channel to the Big Island, the plane kept dropping straight down 100s of feet and people were screaming, crying and praying. I heard the pilot and steward talking to each other after the plane landed in Hilo (I was so relieved to be on solid ground I sat in my seat until the plane was empty) - they said they both thought the plane was going down. The steward said he had flown helicopters in Viet Nam and was never as afraid as on this flight to the Big Island.

Dora was an intense Category 4 hurricane as it passed about 700 miles south of Hawaii’s Big Island early last week. At the same time, a strong area of high pressure was located north of the state. The opposing systems created a strong pressure gradient that enhanced high winds as air funneled between them.
Wind gusts last week reached speeds of up to 67 mph on Maui and 82 mph on the Big Island, according to data from the National Weather Service. Even stronger wind gusts likely occurred and were not picked up by limited reporting stations – especially on the west side of Maui, where winds would have become more intense as they descended nearby mountains.
Yes, and lets not forget State Street.

++++++++++++
That photo is of Paradise. Those are Ponderosa’s and they are fire resistant, plus the winds were so bad they didn’t have time to burn high. Does that make sense?? Like a slow burn and more trees would have burned. I suspect the same with Maui, perhaps the winds, like you said which were fast, didn’t have time to burn high.
That is the dry side of Maui, and is under a drought. The ground that is brown is/was covered with dry dead grass and the link. People are looking for something that is not there and “finding” evidence.
I know 5 people on Maui, and one good friend is volunteering, talking with firefighters, bringing them food, working in kitchens to feed people. There is no talk there of all the stuff on this thread. They know what happened. No one saw any DEW because there weren’t any.
Plenty of photos here. Houses don’t necessarily turn “black” when burned. The person who wrote that article really does not know what he is talking about.

Here's some of that money:

I had searched on the word 'Ukraine' and several drops came up. It's always disappointing to find links have gone dead - I assume it's often to protect the guilty.
In one instance, Q3590 , a link to a letter from Senator Grassley to Rosenstein stored on a government website returned a 404 error. I searched on the date (7/17), Grassley's name, and 'Ukraine' and found what was probably the letter.
I am once again surprised at how effective our MSM and traitors in government are at blacking out all mention of content they don't like. I had forgotten this excerpt from Grassley's letter:

You are absolutely correct. I was sure it was Paradise, as I read everything I could about it, those pines are not in HI. DH has seen all kinds of strange things going on in wildfires. One house spared, another right next door burned to the ground, live trees surrounding burned houses, etc.
THere is a cottage industry of making up stuff about the Lahaina fire, for some reason. There were two other fires, Puelo and Kula.
***Eventually they’ll find the bones. Typically bones don’t burn to ash.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Depending on the severity of the fire, often only teeth and carbonized bits of bone may be left. What is compounding the difficulty is locating this type of remains in the collapsed and burned-out rubble of a house or wreckage of a car.
I fear that mostly the easy ones have been found so far, it will take a while to find the rest.
🐷
Sequoia are resistant to fire as are redwoods to a certain extent. Ponderosas are green matchsticks.
Before and after:
Whether they are matchsticks or not, live trees do not burn very easily if the fire passes through quickly. And from the photos I just posted, many of the trees in Lahaina are dead. Maybe the banyan, too, many photos at link.
