I’ve always heard that the Moon has a gravitational pull on the earth, stronger at some times than at others.
I’ve heard some police and hospital workers say that when there is a Full Moon, the rate of violent calls will increase. I am wondering, if the gravitational pull from the Moon will be enough to modify or reduce any decrease in Earth’s dipolar field. Perhaps there is no way to really know this. I am just hoping for some kind of polarized intervention.

I looked at a few minutes of the YouTube Magnetic Pole Shift. A certain part of the video at 3:50 minutes reminded me of a movie with a soundtrack I’ve never forgotten.
The scene of civilized societies spinning ever faster was the theme of a film called Koyaanusqatsi.

That is a Hopi Indian word meaning ‘life out of balance’.
The music was written and performed by Phillip Glass and his Orchestra. That’s always been one of my favorite pieces by Phillip, but even then, I have to be in the right mood to hop on board that whirling Un-Merry-Go Round.

The effect of the moon is real, but not as strong as the greater solar system and galaxy.

The moon effects the feminine aspect of consciousness and the ovulation/period cycle.

There are also studies that show that women who come together in groups tend to synchronize their period cycles automatically.

I’ve visited the Hopi a few times.

There is a book called the “Hopi Prophesy” that talks about the split between the “Old Ways” and the new ways. It’s really good.

I traveled the Navajo country with a friend that trades with them for items(mainly jewelry) to do high end shows. He lives in Flagstaff.

It’s different when they welcome you in and share.

"I’ve heard some police and hospital workers say that when there is a Full Moon, the rate of violent calls will increase."

Not to downplay anything in T&R's post, I think there's is much validity to it; however, when it comes to full moon behavior, there are other considerations.

Rush Limbaugh used to talk about people (primarily liberals) whose knowledge of history starts the day the were born i.e., events were framed through the window of their own experience, and not in any greater historical context.

There is not a person alive today (with the possible limited exceptions of those in some remote isolated tribes) who is not familiar with or accustomed to electric lighting. And yet, in terms of the human experience, it's a pretty new phenomenon, only being around in widespread use for around 125 years or so.

As a result, people today have little awareness of how dark things really get at night without electricity and how much light a full moon can actually provide. Prior to electricity, people were much more in tune with the phases of the moon as that (apart from candles or oil lamps) was the primary source of night time illumination. The, "harvest moon," is named as such because it allowed agricultural workers one last chance to work late and bring in any and all remaining crops. It was so for thousands of years. Without electricity a full moon contributes to all sorts of activities, nefarious ones included. Historically speaking there may have been a rise in criminal activity during full moons, but much of that is simply the result of their being more activity in general under a full moon.

I've always heard that the Moon has a gravitational pull on the earth, stronger at some times than at others.

EVERYthing does!

Since the moon is in a NON-circular orbit, natually it various over time; like about every FORTNIGHT.

The equation for universal gravitation thus takes the form:

                     F=G*(m1*m2/r2)

where F is the gravitational force acting between two objects, m1 and m2 are the masses of the objects, r is the distance between the centers of their masses, and G is the gravitational constant.

When r changes; the force changes.

I was just thinking of that movie the other day, in view of all the repression here around fossil fuels, when the main culprits are China and India. I remembered an awful sequence in Koyaanisqatsi of extremely crowded cities almost invisible in dense smog. Or, pictures of the Hawaii fires may have triggered the memory from 41 years ago.

Still have my Philip Glass tapes.
