It is becoming obvious to 'me' that abortion is the one thing that is making elections these days. I think this wedge issue may in fact be the one issue that will keep Trump or the GOP nominee out of office.
Is there enough support on the right to bend one the issue?
The baby gets no say though. She is the one who will suffer horribly because of mommy and Dr. Frankenstein’s “compassionate” choice.
The time has come when the country is so divided on the abortion issue that the only way to win the election is not to try to win simply on tweaks to more and tweaks to fewer reasons to allow abortion. What may have the best way to win the elctio
on is to go bold with a long known policy that thumbs it’s nose at both prolife alone or pro abort alone philosophies and would
establish a culture of life where abortion becomes almost unthinkable because all the reasons to have an abortion disappear in a culture where help to overcome the challenges of having and raising children will already exist in the culture of life in our country.
If Biden tried to promote a culture of life, it would ring hollow given his radical support for abortion, but were Trump to do so, it would just be a next step to his past prolife positions.
Most of the recent migrants are from Central America and Venezuela.
Me either.
That’s the story but I don’t trust the “media”.
DJT’s position in 2016:
“Donald Trump said Thursday he would change the Republican Party platform’s position on abortion to include exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother.”
my question for those advocating for looser restrictions regarding abortion, how should the text of the 2024 gop platform read SPECIFICALLY in order to “win” the election?
Why can’t the feds start a public service campaign that pushes birth control as it did with smoking. I do not believe anyone wants the issue to go away. It is used as a political weapon on both sides.
No! Abortion is murder, period. I will not become what I hate.
A lot of migrants from Guatemala in my town. Some from Honduras, etc. Not sure what it’s like in other places.
What they should do at this point, is to stick to their guns about abortion being a state issue. Done. Signed, sealed, delivered, the pro-life movement got its victory. What that will hopefully result in is a consensus being reached over time in the states.
Trump could yet win, especially if he turns the page on this at the federal level. The biggest problem with Trump is his disastrous personnel picks, and the way he bends over backwards being loyal to people who are using him (and us). That seems more likely to sink him than anything else.

“Why can’t the feds start a public service campaign that pushes birth control as it did with smoking.”
answer:
THEY HAVE FOR DECADES. birth control for federal advocates have promoted abortion on demand without restrictions. they call it sex education. you know, where they can use federal tax dollars to pervert and indoctrinate the minds of our children.
including but not limited to federally funded abortion even up to the point of partial birth. and funding planned parenthood and looking the other way when caught selling baby parts.
as well as pushing for “gender reasignment surgery”
should we also get on board with that under the banner of a public service campaign?
Abortion will indirectly be on every ballot. The Dems know they can paint with a broad brush, and they will whip up their folks into a whirlwind.
Combine this with the anti Trump fervor…and the GOP will have to get a lot better turnout than 2020.
That’s fine. But don’t complain the the libs are winning and impacting EVERYTHING else.
One issue voters are the bane of the GOP.
Not a bad idea! As Coach Tom Landry used to say - "A good defense is a good offense".
“ IMHO what the GOP should always do is put it back on the Dims. Make the Dims state why they support “abortion” even after birth.”
The argument back is that in most places that is illegal. And, it is a very, very rare circumstance. A reasonable opponent would make that an easy win for the libs.
The text should be: “It’s a State issue. Each state needs to follow the conscience of their citizens. While we remain pro-life, we understand that this is no longer a Federal issue.’
Fair enough, but if you'll "compromise" on this issue in the name of political expediency, then you'll compromise on every other issue that supposedly means something to conservatives. "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" - and some of us want to throw out item number one? To "win"? Win what? My point about bringing God into the discussion is that there's no stopping the downward spiral without Him. The Progs won't give an inch on this, why should we?
given the limitations we are faced with, I could accept that. However, I would never support any candidate for federal, state or local office that is not in full support of prolife legislation within the bounds of the Constitution.
Yes.
No, there a 2 things.
The first, which hasn't been addressed, is election fraud. This alone will keep Trump from being elected in 2024. The second is legacy media. Anti-conservative, anti-Christian, globalists control legacy media. Regardless of the issue, be it abortion, illegal immigration, lawless cities, insane spending .... the anti-Christian, anti-MAGA people controlling our legacy media will make evil look good and good evil. Sadly, too many Americans believe their lies. A short conversation with some of your relatives will prove my point.
