WASHINGTON — The Biden administration plans to announce on Wednesday a new federal system to track heat-related illness nationwide and is considering additional measures amid pressure to do more to help Americans deal with crippling summer heat, according to White House officials.

The new national dashboard, which will be overseen by the Health and Human Services Department, maps emergency services responding to heat-related illness calls across the country, officials said. The “EMS HeatTracker” is intended to help ensure sufficient medical aid gets to Americans who need it most during severe heat, officials said.

America is in our woke blow-off phase. Its a kind of fever and mania.

$1.2 Trillion deficits and bloated debt, and rising quickly, to fund insane, useless leftist fantasy social engineering and political themes.

More people die from cold weather issues than hot weather issues, but that doesn’t fit their narrative. Why cold weather? Heating oil shortages and cost increases, electric heating systems fail during power outages, windmills freeze up, soar panels ice over, etc.

“Some cities have appointed chief heat officers to help manage the blistering temperatures. “

Imagine how much hotter it would be in these cities if they didn’t have a chief heat officer. /s

I’m sure, in typical government fashion, they should have the “heat app” up and running by late November.

So every time the MSM plays up a sob story, we’re going to create another federal bureaucracy, which may not actually be in the office because they got to go home due to approaching thunderstorms.

I know NYS offers cooling assistance now.

So do many other states.

So why are people still cooking?

Or is something other than heat related illness and death being tracked...

Trust but verify.

Awww Geez ... maybe they can set up a series of giant fans and use them to blow the hot air to places that need it??

It’s been unseasonably cool/cold here in the Northeast (Philly area) for much of the late Spring & Summer ... our pool is very chilly ... in Mid-August!! We might need to fire up the natural gas-heating system and warm it up a bit :O
