racial superiority

Ethnic superiority.

There’s still only one race (HUMAN) of people on the planet.

Different paint jobs, sure, but still “homo sapiens”.

EVERYTHING you need to know? This isn’t even a pittance. It’s more like an ad for the movie (I won’t even say the name so I don’t advertise even more..

Iris Chang, a historian who interviewed survivors and witnesses, wrote “ The Rape of Nanking”

The experience contributed to a severe depression and she committed suicide at age 36. I know there is a documentary about this, can’t remember if on netflix or youtube or…

My dad served in Japan during the occupation and the war crime trials. He didn’t have to invade it. God bless Harry Truman!

Also, part of dad’s duties as an MP was to guard and transport Tojo to his trial. Never asked how close he came to the execution.

I know you both know this but there may be those that do not.

The policies of No Surrender, Fight to the Last Man, and accompanying civilians committing suicide had been going on long before Okinawa. For the prior year, or better, virtually every island we fought on had that tenacity and bloody end as we fought our way west. It wasn’t just an opinion that they would kill their own population in fighting to the last man, it was an acknowledged certainty.

Remember the Japanese that surrendered in the 60’s, 70’s, and even one until the 80’s?
