Cases of leprosy are rising in Florida, according to a new analysis published in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) journal.
Although the disease is still rare in the U.S. -- with just 159 cases reported in 2020 -- a study released Monday from the EID and shared by the CDC found that Central Florida accounts for a bulk of those cases.

is this some lame attempt to smear DeSantis?
Immigration is beautiful..We get to share soooo much....
Don’t touch armadillos
I wouldn’t blame the invaders too much. Blame the crowd which likes to go to “raves” and orgies. Blame the “hookup” apps which make every corner of society a remote highway rest stop bathroom.
Will we finally get a movie production of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever, now?
Michael Yon is a reporter who posts about the invasion of illegals on Twitter. Leprosy and TB patients are being let in and released around the country.
Funny, how they aim at Florida only. How about across the nation you bunch of freaking Mediapukes! We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg… only the tip! Mark my words, Ebola will be rearing its ugly head soon in this country.
biden will send the most infected illegals to Florida
Wild armadillo blood and feces coming in direct contact with an open cut or sore can transmit the bacteria. It’s rare in the animal and even then a healthy person’s immune system would take care of it. It tends to happen among the malnourished south of the border where they eat armadillos and come in contact with their blood. They are probably bringing it in.
There is a rise in Armadillos?
I love petting my pet armadillo ... oops, there goes my hand
Wonder how many cases slipped over the Southern Border due to Biden’s lack of security.
Leprosy. Can Malaria be far behind? Woops! it’s already here! What about Yellow Fever, Cholera and other nasties like Screw worm flies?
I remember when there were none in the North Arkansas-Oklahoma area. Saw my first one dead on the highway south of the Arkansas River in 1970.
Now they are everywhere including my place. Once known as “Hoover Hogs.”
On bright side, leprosy is not easily transmitted from person to person. Just do not touch infected person and then lick your fingers and you will be safe.

We have so much to thank the Dems and the illegals for.
So much.

Much like the spread of AIDS could be traced to a homo get together on Fire Island in the early 1980s.
I've read a little about the "patient zero" of the U.S. epidemic. He was a flight attendant who was extremely promiscuous wherever he ended up flying overseas. The "gay disease" indeed had a "gay" origin in this country.
2 words, “open borders”
