Welcome to The Bicycle Thread. A monthly PING List for bicycle enthusiasts to share experiences, information and ideas. 🚴‍♂️👍
However, whether you’re a casual rider, a fitness enthusiast, or a seasoned pro, one thing remains constant: the importance of regular maintenance.
For years, electric bicycles were bulky, inconvenient, expensive machines with limited battery life. Slowly, that has changed. Ebikes are now lighter, more attractive, and more powerful than ever. You don't need to be physically fit to ride one. They get you outside, reduce traffic congestion, and shrink your carbon footprint. I ride one daily to take my kids to school. They're just fun.
My daughter gave me an adult tricycle last Christmas. Some assembly required, that is to say, all of it. Unfortunately, it’s been so hot here in Texas I haven’t been able to ride.
Shrinking your carbon footprint is hardly a reason to bike.
In Texas you have to ride at sun up in the summer and at noon in the winter
I'll say.
Control your adrenaline rushes. They do not make you king of the road.
I love bicycling with the Deplorable Family. So many places to ride, but please, make sure your kids and you know the rules, ride with the traffic and obey the rules. A bus hit and killed a bicyclist because the bicyclist darted in front of the bus. Of course, he was a bit high on drugs...
One if the benefits of being retired is I can watch every stage of the Tour de France.
This years TDF was very exciting.
Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard, won for a second straight year.

Take your trolling elsewhere.
Please add me to this ping list!
Pretty much like that in the lower elevations in Arizona depending on location. In fact most of the Southwest is like that.
I really enjoyed the condensed versions of each stage of the Tour that NBC put up on YouTube.
I live in San Antonio...so yeah, it be hot. Fortunately, I am retired, so can ride at any time of day. Mornings are the answer.
