A vegan raw food influencer who lived on a diet of exotic fruit has reportedly died from starvation and exhaustion.
Zhanna Samsonova, originally from Russia, had been living in South-East Asia and eating an exclusively raw vegan diet consisting of 'fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies and juices' for the past five years.
However her eating habits became worryingly restrictive in the last few months of her life according to her friends.
The 40-year-old, known as Zhanna D'Art online, passed away on July 21 reportedly from a 'cholera-like infection' exacerbated by 'exhaustion of the body by a vegan diet' her mother told Russian newspaper Vechernyaya Kazan.
Zhanna's official cause of death has not yet been determined as her family try to get her body back to Russia.
The food blogger's mum Vera Samsonova told local news outlets Zhanna was supposed to fly home to Kazan on the day of her death.
Vera did not approve of her daughter's extreme diet and tried to convince her to introduce more balanced eating habits but she refused.
Speaking with Newsflash, an anonymous friend of Zhanna claimed they saw Zhanna a few months ago in Sri Lanka 'looking exhausted'.
'They sent her home to seek treatment. However, she ran away again. When I saw her in Phuket, I was horrified,' they said.

I personally don’t think Abel, who was killed by his vegan brother Cain, only raised sheep to shear for wool. He probably ate of the sacrifices he made to God.

People like this are effectively religious zealots because they all proselytize for their unhealthy lifestyle. The mention of durian is a clear sign that this one was a wackadoodle because durian in known as the stinkiest fruit (and possibly the stinkiest food substance) in existence.
Speaking of the durian fruit, there's another wackadoodle diet evangelist who goes by the screen name Durianrider, also a bicycling enthusiast and promoter, whose screen name (obviously) is taken from his fondness for the horridly stinky fruit. Among other things, he recommends everyone eat 30 bananas a day. Thirty! Imagine what would happen to the fruit industry if the four billion adults on the planet all decided to eat 30 bananas a day.
A native Australian, Durianrider also has promoted the idea of involuntarily sterilizing the children of Australian Aborigines WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT.
Diet is rarely the only indication that people like these are wackadoodles.
Russia clearly has no shortage of idiots either.
Maybe if she stayed in Russia she would still be alive.

The cell wall of the plants inhibit nutrient uptake.
Cooking breaks down that cell wall to enough of a degree that the nutrients inside can then be digested.
In the 2nd paragraph it says she was living in SE Asia. She was the migrant, as it were.
