A Small Mistake

Belinda made a cake one day,
For which much praise to her is due,
With lots of butter, sugar, eggs,
And Plums galore, and cherries too;
It really was a first-class cake -
She only made one small mistake.

Belinda made a lovely cake;
Where is the cake Belinda made?
Oh hush! we gave it to the dog,
He will be ill, I’m much afraid;
Belinda wasted half-an-hour-
Alas, she quite forgot the flour!

My friend has friends there looking for family members.

All 4 of the houses my friend used to live in are gone, it is so horrific.

She had a business there, it is gone.

Her First Cake

She measured out the butter with a very solemn air;
The milk and sugar also; and she took the greatest care
To count the eggs correctly and add a little bit
Of Baking Powder, which you know, beginners oft omit.
Then she stirred it all together, and she baked it full an hour;
But she never quite forgave herself for leaving out the flour.
