JUST IN: moments ago @UtahGOP passed the resolution mentioned below, condemning the persecution of President Trump.
However, I am told by a source that the Secretary of the Utah GOP made issue with the part involving the proclamation that the Georgia indictment undermines the Party’s First Amendment protected speech, and so that was struck from the resolution. The resolution passed and now includes the following language.
Now that it has passed, the @UtahGOPmis required to make a statement, invite @realDonaldTrump to campaign in Utah, and all of Utah’s federal representatives including @MittRomney are required to make a statement condemning the persecution of @realDonaldTrumpmor else they could face a censure from the party if they are found to be in violation of the party resolution.
