The boys are more scared of snakes than I am. So, no, no pet snakes.
We have death adders. We have Australian brown snakes. In the ocean, we have sea kraits. All very deadly. You’ll die twice! Then, we have a cousin of the komodo dragon, a soal-soal. Lots of bacteria in a bite from them, and they are aggressive. We have deadly spiders. Plus, we have the most deadly of all, the anopholes mosquitoes. Second to that is the aedes mosquitoes. Then, finally, we have crocodiles and wild boar. It ain’t safe here!
Two stories: When we first arrived here and were in language school, one night we had company and served spaghetti. A dang mosquito landed on my plate in my sauce. One of the guests said, “go ahead and eat him. It’s only fair.”
Second, you can tell how long a missionary has been here by how they react to bugs on the food. A new missionary will see a bug land on the food and through the food out, wash the plate, and get new. A second-termer will merely shrug and shoo the bug away. Someone who has been here awhile will comment, “yay, no bugs.” But someone who has been here as long as I have will say, “Hey! Where’s my bug,” grab one out of the air, and add it to the food before eating.
Funny story!
Used to worry about diamond-back rattlesnakes in the wood pile or under the porch but no more wood pile but still have 2 porches. Haven’t seen any rattlers in a few years though.
Wherever you live there are dangers to watch out for.
In the spring, I’m always on the lookout on my walk for bears emerging from hibernation, hungry bears.
Bears! That would scare me, too. Mountain lions! Aaaah!

Historian and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA) gave a stark assessment of the indictment of President Trump by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for challenging the 2020 presidential election in Georgia in an interview Monday night on the Fox News Channel show Hannity. Gingrich warned, “we are drifting towards the greatest Constitutional crisis since the 1850s, uh, and the rise of secession and the Civil War,”…that will “(establish) a moment of bitterness, which I think will last for a generation or more.”

I am SEETHING. 🤬🤬🤬🤬The judge assigned to the RICO case against Trump and the others in Georgia is 34 and has been a judge for only 6 months. My law license was suspended for 6 months because the state bar said I was “too inexperienced” when I was a Maricopa County Deputy County Attorney/Special Assistant to be the attorney of record on a RICO case against corrupt MaRICOpa County Supervisors and judges - even though I’d practiced law for 10 years and had represented judges against RICO cases when I was an Arizona Assistant Attorney General, and even though I didn’t write the complaint, a far more senior attorney did, and I was supervised by the RICO expert in the office. This is how bad the injustice and corruption has gotten in our legal system! One system of justice for some, and another system of justice for others. They obviously plucked this guy since they already know how he’s going to handle the case.

Fun fact: When the Arizona Bar prosecutors first came after me, my attorney noticed that they couldn’t make up their minds whether to claim that I was TOO EXPERIENCED and should have known better not to lead a RICO case, or that I was TOO INEXPERIENCED. Eee gads. Rattlesnakes, bears, skunks, racoons (vicious beasts).....I’d be praying for a lot more than rain if I lived there! Remember, all of these Indictments, Federal, State, and Local, were conceived and generated by Crooked Joe Biden and his staff of Radical Left Lunatics and Thugs for purposes of interfering with the 2020 Presidential Election. None of these trials should be allowed to begin prior to the Election. Republicans must get tougher and smarter, FAST!
