I watch a lot of true crime shows. In a case where a close family member has been needlessly murdered, and the family is interviewed, occasionally they will say they have forgiven the perpetrator. In most situations, I think to myself that I would never forgive them. I would want to carry out a death sentence myself.

Good to hear that you have healed or are still healing from all that anger you had. I do get angry at times but I have never been one to hold onto that anger.

I’ll try to make this as short as I can so people won’t be bored with it, LOL.
After sharing with you my miserable school years, what
I didn’t share, was that my first husband was as abusive as they were, in other words, I married my torment.
After years of abuse, and his infidelity,I finally git the courage to leave that marriage and divorced him. I spent the next few years in a tail spin of anorexia, and other self abuse.
Then, I met my PRINCE. He did not solve all my problems, and it was not up to him to do, it was up to me.
Early in our marriage, I became a Medical Technician.
One night when I was attending a dying patient, she said:
“L____, you have beautiful wings on your back!”
I kissed the top of her head and thanked her.
Then I went home and cried, because if a dying woman could see the “beauty” (for lack of a better word) in me, why couldn’t I??
I tell you now-she healed me that night.
I let go of all that, that very night.
I look back on my childhood and my awful first marriage, and it no longer controls me.
I just celebrated my 40th anniversary with my sweet Prince
and I am thankful for him, for all of you, and for the sweet Lord who has graced my life so abundantly.
To all who have conquered all the hurt and abuse that they have endured, it makes me think of something I read once.
“The finest sword, must first go through fire.”

I was trying to verify what it says in red when you have new comments. I know it wasn’t just ping. So that was what I was trying to test, but it somehow didn’t work
I was actually really impressed with the work ethic of these guys. He had a lot of people and a lot of vehicles and they were out there in the heat dealing with hot asphalt. Friday night they worked until 9:30.
But yeah maybe they didn’t recognize how to do a slope although you would think it would be common.
