I remember how skinny and haggard Smiles and his littermate were when Catturd took them in.

This judge doesn’t care one whit about optics. None of them do. It’s full steam ahead to take out Trump. If any of them cared about optics, the DOJ and Garland would be behind bars. Then again, so would Traitor Joe and his sidekick Humper.
I’m going to see my nephew today! He’s visiting at my son’s house. He’s 41 and retired (made a boat load of money with web design and stock market). He moved to Mexico when Canada went commie and is back for a visit.

There are supposedly trucks at the bottom of the driveway here to finish the asphalt. It’s so weird having a long driveway, I didn’t realize until now. I have no idea what’s going on at the bottom. I can’t even see it because of the forest

That’s a cat for you! I’ve had mangy skinny ferals show up, after 3 days of solid meals and a place to rest, they turn around and act like they own the place. I would love to have that kind of self-confidence!
Ask him how things are in Mexico.

Sable is taking much longer to get used to Cadbury than I thought she would. At first I thought it was just an act. But now watching them, he is much more aggressive than she is. She might really be afraid of him. But she’s at least twice his weight!
I don’t know if they’re jockeying for who gets to be the alpha, he’s only 5 months old.
Yesterday she was washing him, which I thought was a good sign. She got his head and neck nice and clean. And then she bit him on the neck.
Do you have a finish date for your driveway, and do you have to wait before driving on it?

It’s taken me 60 years to learn this, and I’m sure I still have a long way to go. I’ve read that you can’t really forgive someone until you accept completely what they did and it’s consequences. And only then can you give them true forgiveness. Which doesn’t really do much for them, but it gives us wonderful piece of mind. And an awareness to not let it happen again.
I would say that I forgave people but I didn’t really even understand what that meant.
Sounds like Sable was lulling Cadbury into a sense of security when she decided to snack on him.
Cats are so unpredictable, never a dull moment.

This year, the rains have come regularly, and everything is growing ahead of time and wonderfully.
Now are crepe myrtles are in bloom, and the color is richer than last year. Same with our flowers and bushes.
The crops here are growing well.
We are expecting T-storms tonight.

Hopefully they will finish today. And I need to wait a week. It would normally be less time but we have had heavy rains and they want the part on the hill to dry completely before driving on it. I thought they would have to wait until everything was dry to Asphalt it. But here if they do that, they would never get any work done!
They got the drainage wrong starting at the top though, when it rains or we let water out of the pool, it’s supposed to go into this channel on the right side of the driveway. They have it sloped so it goes to the left and will erode the hill over there. So they’ll have to come back to fix that. Luckily we haven’t paid them a penny yet. Kind of odd they’d be willing to do so much work without at least a Down payment.
First “are” should be “our”.

I think the red mail Insignia doesn’t work all the time. I think I only see it on my comment page, not when I am inside a thread. I could be wrong, but there’s sometimes when it doesn’t show up. I think that’s why people tell each other that they have sent mail.
