It’s just like Psalm 22, verse 17... C’ARI... Like (a) lion (the seventh word above in Hebrew, from the right, to left.) ;)

Check the comparisons. You've found the 1998 translation by David H. Stern, in which he interpolates "lion" into the English text. Chabad does this too, by the way, so it is a variant among many versions.

Stern's translation is very free, and he also has translated in his own way the Christian New Testament.

The question is not various exegeses of "lion" but "lion of God." That phrase is not represented in PS 22:17 as I read it.
