Watched the ‘highlights’ of game 1. It was fricken hilarious! Slow moving goals [I think there were 2 or 3], passes kicked straight up into the air, & 3/4 of the highlights were pathetic misses.
Now the ladies can play with no objection from me, but stop with this pretending bullcrap. When squads of 15 year olds boys beats the national ladies “champs” over and over again, sometimes the obvious is the explanation.

It’s not great soccer especially when compared to men’s soccer, but it’s not men’s soccer.
I’ve watched quite a few of the matches, if you enjoy pure competition, between countries that really take it seriously, it’s been quite enjoyable.
This morning, Australia had to win to advance, they defeated Canada, the defending Olympic Gold Medalists 4-0, the match was played in Australia and the crowd was going crazy. Canada is now headed home having been eliminated.
The sheer joy of the Australian Team and total devastation of the Canadian team was great to see, it’s what makes sports great.
