Connecticut Democrat says it's 'clear' first son Hunter Biden broke law on tax and gun charges and should be prosecuted

A Democratic congressman admitted it's 'clear' that First Son Hunter Biden broke the law and should be prosecuted.

Representative Jim Himes of Connecticut said during a Friday night interview with MSNBC that 'it is clear he [Hunter] broke the law with respect to taxes and possibly the ownership of a handgun.'

'He should be held accountable for that,' he said, also taking a swipe at his Republican colleagues who 'never' would have made the same admission about the Trump family during the former president's time in office.

'If he [Hunter] traded on his father’s influence, he should be held accountable for that. And I’m emphasizing this because you never, ever heard a Republican say the same thing about Donald Trump or his family,' he said.

His comments come days after a federal judge tossed out a plea agreement between Hunter Biden and the feds on income tax evasion and gun charges.

Himes argued there remains no evidence that President Joe Biden colluded in any way with Hunter on his crimes - but if evidence is brought to light, it should be taken seriously.

'Now, to the question about impeachment, there is today zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing. If, if he did know about it, if he participated in that, then that is a very different conversation,' he said.

The scandal-plagued First Son remains under federal investigation and last week pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor tax counts of willful failure to pay income tax after a sweetheart plea deal fell apart in real time at the courthouse.

The White House has stated the president has and will continue supporting his son throughout the investigation.

'Hunter Biden is a private citizen...'

And there is a reason, he never traded influence for financial gain. Trump is a patriot, putting his wealth on the line to make America Great Again.

Just imagine if this was 2018 and was Trump's son instead of Hunter Biden. The liberal media would be demanding Special Prosecutors, impeachment inquires and CNN would be demanding Trump resign and running a 24/7 red banner on their screen with “Crisis in the Whitehouse Day 47!”

At least the Trump progeny produced a product or provided some tangible service.

All Hunter provided was access and tax dollars.

Read it slowly and let your lips move.

“Today” is the criteria. Tomorow?

zero evidence? only if you ignore the evidence.

There is a lot of deliberate waffling in the statement.

This.

Democrats want to revive the sweetheart deal; and, of course, to move forward into forgetfulness.

Yes, and a man who robbed a bank, killed three customers and a guard should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for double parking in front of the bank.

Legal Experts Point To Another Fishy Aspect Of Hunter Biden’s Proposed Plea Deal.....
that the “statement of facts” included in Hunter Biden’s proposed plea deal favored the defense.

Due to the Biden-controlled DOJ terms, it would have
immunized Hunter and Joe from prosecution for a number of offenses.

The “statement of facts” points out that Hunter Biden “continued to earn money and exercise control over his personal and corporate finances” even during the 2017-2018 period where his substance abuse worsened and he failed to pay taxes.

“Certainly a significant portion of the Statement of Facts is defense-oriented,”
attorney Sol Wisenberg tweeted. “This is not normal.”

Lawyer and former federal prosecutor Bill Shipley said on Twitter that he thinks there is “no way the prosecutors wrote the Statement of Facts.”

“That was written by defense counsel (more likely the WH) because there is a purpose behind it.”

“It’s written in a style that I have NEVER seen come from a prosecutor.
It is not something I would have ever written in a million years.”

“zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing.”

That is what they always say after they burn the hard copies, bleach the hard disks and assassinate the witnesses.

"......zero evidence that Joe Biden knew about what his 53 yr old son was doing.......”

In all fairness, Cong Himes could not have known that unless he was first briefed that
(a) they burned the hard copies, (b) bleached the hard disks, and, (c) assassinated the witnesses.
