Hunter Biden remains 'good standing' member of DC Bar despite facing criminal charges

Hunter Biden continues to be a "good standing" member of the Washington, D.C. Bar despite facing multiple criminal charges and violating the organization's rules of professional conduct.

First reported by the Daily Caller, Biden told the judge during his first appearance in a Wilmington, Delaware federal court, in which his expected plea deal ultimately collapsed, that he was a member of the D.C. and Connecticut Bars.

According to the D.C. Bar website, Biden remains a member in "good standing," despite the rules of professional conduct stating that it is misconduct for a lawyer to "commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects."

The rules also explain that "many kinds of illegal conduct reflect adversely on fitness to practice law, such as offenses involving fraud and the offense of willful failure to file an income tax return." Biden faces two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax, to which he pleaded "not guilty."

Another rule dictates attorneys risk the "possibility of probationary conditions" in cases of "addiction to drugs or intoxicants." According to the text of Hunter's failed plea deal, he "has a well-documented and long-standing struggle with substance abuse."

Another bar rule states it is misconduct to "state or imply an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official."

According to IRS whistleblower testimony from a May House Ways and Means Committee hearing, Biden threatened a Chinese business associate in 2017 by texting him that he was sitting next to his father, Joe Biden.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday dismissed the possibility of President Biden issuing a pardon for Hunter, although the president and First Lady Jill Biden have expressed "support" for their son following his not guilty pleas.

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Yes, I’m sure the process to remove someone from good standing, would require conviction in a court of law. Or a guilty plea.

I demand that Hunter Biden be elected president of the bar.
If they are going to be feckless and corrupt, why not just go all out?

Oh no it doesn’t, at least not in CA. A conviction locks it up but there’s enough evidence of moral turpitude around that an investigation should be underway. Back to the conviction: I’d remind everyone that Michael Avenatti was suspended while his criminal matters were pending, and disbarred thereafter.

I’m sure the DC bar is going to get right on this

According to the D.C. Bar website, Hunter Biden remains a member of the Bar in “good standing,” despite his breaking numerous rules of professional conduct.

The Bar states that it is misconduct for a lawyer to “commit a criminal act”
<><>that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
<><>that “many kinds of illegal conduct” reflect adversely on fitness to practice law,
<><>such as offenses involving fraud
<><>and the offense of willful failure to file an income tax return.

Hunter Biden faces two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax......that we know of...... to which he recently pleaded “not guilty” in a court of law.

Attorneys risk the “possibility of probationary conditions” in cases of “addiction to drugs or intoxicants.” According to the text of Hunter’s failed plea deal, he “has a well-documented and long-standing struggle with substance abuse.” And was kicked out of the Navy after testing positive for cocaine.

Another bar rule states it is misconduct to “state or imply an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official.” There is corroborative proof Hunter has engaged in this numerous times.

Hunter is in good “standing” or crawling in a lot of bars, a number of which are not in DC.

He’s also been nominated for “Father of the Decade”, while Joe has been nominated for “Grandfather of the Century”.

What a bunch of shits we’ve got as the First Crime Syndicate Family.

Isn’t there someone else, in higher office, who helped drug addict Hunter get those fabulous jobs he’s had? Shouldn’t they be looking at that person?. 🤔

By opportunistic Hunter Biden’s own recent admissions and corroborating evidence, he seems not only to have schemed to hide millions of dollars in foreign shakedown profiteering,
<><>but set up all sorts of paywalls, firewalls, and phony “loans” to hide illegal schemes.

His criminality succeeded so well b/c daddy gave him plenty of high level govt help. Corrupt Biden DOJ figures permanently freed criminal Hunter from not paying thousands of dollars in overdue taxes.

Resident Biden has serially lied that “he did not know” anything of his son’s business dealings.
<><>an assertion contrary to photographic evidence, Hunter’s business associates,
<><>plus sworn statements from at least one former business partner,
<><>clear evidence from Hunter’s own laptop,
<><>and recent disclosures from FBI documents and IRS whistleblower testimonies.

Resident Biden continues to lie, the media continues to shrug it off.

Of course he is.

Every D.C. Lawyer is a crook.

Hunter’s crimes are almost as good a resume enhancer as having a u.s. president for a father.

Probably. Although Hillary flunked the DC bar. But your cat is probably smarter and has more integrity.
