Yes, I’m sure the process to remove someone from good standing, would require conviction in a court of law. Or a guilty plea.

Oh no it doesn’t, at least not in CA. A conviction locks it up but there’s enough evidence of moral turpitude around that an investigation should be underway. Back to the conviction: I’d remind everyone that Michael Avenatti was suspended while his criminal matters were pending, and disbarred thereafter.

I’m sure the DC bar is going to get right on this
