First of all, much to the dismay of many, I did not die tonight.
Secondly, I've seen these funeral threads before where people mourn the FReeper and talk about what they meant to them (and more than a few FReepers who celebrate the death).
But what's the point of that? Does the dead FReeper know anything, or see any of the kind or crass remarks about them?
No. Pointless. We should have these sort of threads BEFORE they die.
So that's why I'm doing my obituary thread tonight. Plus, there is the added advantage of me knowing the exact date (7/22/2023) and and time (10:34PM) of my death!

This is shocking that you’ve left us, Laz. Too young. I began lurking here over 20 years ago when I took notice of Laz’s brilliant writing talent and sense of humor. I’ll always remember you as one of the titans of FR. No one can compare. Way back then he reminded me of a fraternity boy with his antics, but over the years we watched him mature. Well, kind of, Lol. Most importantly it seemed to me that over the years you made right with the Lord. I hope this is true so we can enjoy his wit and brilliance for eternity. Maybe this is the effect of losing so many freepers over the years and you realized the fleeting nature of life in this world. FR will never be the same without Laz. I hope you’ve left an AI version of yourself to keep posting in your name.
